We heard Projector X: Picture House at Cathay building is going to close for renovation and we decided to watch a movie on 18 June 2023. It's the worst cinema experience we ever had. The seats were dirty, there bits of snacks left behind by previous patrons. There was a cheesy smell in the air throughout the show time. To my horror, I realised there was a pack of popcorn left behind by previous patron. The surrounding was dusty and the service button was broken too. The ticket price is equivalent to Golden Village Gold Class but the experience is totally far from it. Even the popcorn I used to enjoy is no more, it was dry and there were many seeds in our pack. It's really horrible on the whole.

Pretty facade and in the interior is modern but you can’t help feel that the buildings history contains a lot of eery stories and ghostly apparitions. The venue also has fun balloon art, unsure if it’s Jeff Koons but still a fun exhibition. Upstairs is an area that exhibits singapore and the days of the old Cathay building. There’s plenty of historical artefacts of the cinema days and other displays. Unfortunately I couldn’t take more photos in this area as we were told by security strictly no photos.

Still a bid dead. Can’t say it’s a must visit mall. But lots of space to relax and an amazing huge screen that doesn’t show anything interesting.

New place. Looks kinda boring though.. retail mix.. hmmmm leaves much to be desired. Maybe just not somewhere i would hangout and go

I was there at the shop this morning to take a passport photo. Mr Ong is very patient to guide me to upload my photo for submission to ICA for my passport renewal. Very good service indeed. Thank you Mr Ong and the lady also.

Bob and Grace is such a lovely couple. Grace is a warm-hearted, friendly lady while Bob is very professional! He did an excellent job in not only taking a good passport photo for me but he also took the effort to meticulously edit my digital photo as my hair was messy. I am extremely pleased with his service! He's highly recommended!

Be careful! Even though the shop provides passport photo taking, they won't guarantee your photo has met the basic requirements. You might as well use a photo machine and check all the requirements yourself. I think this industry lacks a sense of duty and professional services. They have forgotten that customers are paying for their professional advice and ease of mind when it comes ID photo taking. This is how eventually AI and robotics will take over you guys. Don't blame the technological advancements. Blame your condescending stagnation.
