"A house is not a home, when there's no one there to hold you tight" is a familiar line from the classic song by Burt Bacharach and made famous by the likes of Luther Vandross and Dionne Warwick about the need to have a lover to make a home complete. And yet the magic that Linear Space Concepts creates with house interiors is truly enough to make one feel completely at home whether with a lover or not. Head designer Marc Wong is able to do this because of his belief in forming relationships with his clients. His openness to having regular conversations with home owners who have clear ideas about what they want, and who can articulate how they live, is essential to ensuring that the homes he creates truly invites one in. His aesthetic sense can be described as bold and eclectic, and his experience and risk-taking truly come to the fore when clients allow him the freedom as a designer to play with colour, pattern, textures and even form. We truly appreciated how he also took the trouble to print out his design mock-ups and ideas for every meeting, as well as bringing a wide selection of materials for us to look through, because Marc understands that a home is as much about the look as it is about the tactile experience of living in the space. His team of designers and subcontractors work tirelessly. Even though we have been facing labour shortages and are still very much in a pandemic, never once did Linear Space Concepts delay our project. Even when the team contracted COVID-19, he was still able to deliver and meet the timeline, remaining apologetic but fiercely determined to ensure that we could move in a month before Christmas 2021. While the pictures of our home speak for itself, highlighting just parts of Linear Space Concepts’ fantastic work, it is Marc’s attention to detail that shines through when one moves through our space. Our friends and family have all commented that they absolutely love the tempered approach to Maximalist design aesthetics and appreciate how every corner of the house has been thoughtfully considered (even the ones not pictured). Thank you Marc and team for making our house a home that we look forward to being in every day. Your dedication and talents continue to amaze us and all who come over to celebrate over mealtimes and shared laughter.

I first came to know Stanley from Masterpiece Jewellery was when I sent my daughter's chain for replair. He did the job really fast and I was impressed with the work done. So I inquired more of his services and was happy to know that he could customize any type of jewellery. I remembered I had some stones from my late mom's bracelet. The gold part was sold off for faraidh and we kept the beautiful purple stones which was rejected by the jeweller (whom we sold the gold part to) as they said it was worthless. Stanley willingly assisted me to evaluate the stones and so I decided to customize 4 rings of the same design. Stanley was approachable and respectful which makes it easy to communicate with him. We exchanged a few messages to finalize the design and weight and Stanley helped me to meet per rings into my budget. I also had requested the initials S and M into the designs as they were the first letters of my mom's and dad's name. To my surprise, the rings were ready earlier than I expected and the letters S and M were beautifully embedded into the design. I was overjoyed when I saw the rings. I presented the 3 rings to my elder sisters and they were really happy. Now my sisters have something to cherish from our late mom and a little something from me all thanks to Stanley from Masterpiece Jewellery. I truly appreciate his patience, professionalism and great workmanship in creating 4 beautiful pieces for my family. Thank you, Stanley! I will definitely come back again! 😄
