Bought a couple of Ruark products from Sonic Sound Audio. It was a very seamless communication and seamless and communication with the owner. High trusted, friendly service & superb pricing. Highly recommended.

TL:DR: Avoid if you can. If you can't, do note the points below. 1. Seller did not disclose that store is sound proofed and therefore listening experience at the store is greatly enhanced - A quick google search will verify this. He only told us AFTER we purchased and made a review here. As sound experience is THE DECIDING FACTOR for purchase of audio equipments (which he is definitely aware of since he is in business for more than 40 years), this should have been told to customers upfront. Unfortunately, he did not. :( 2. No return policy was also not mentioned upfront. 3. Do not let the seller open up the box for you if you were to purchase from him for whatever reason. Once it is opened, return will not be accepted (This was the reason quoted, although he was the one who opened the box). So I believe, unopened box would be eligible for return. 4. Do your research first before purchasing from him. Listen to his recommendation but do verify with other sources. He may quote some websites and tell you the date of release of the product does not matter. Make your own judgement. Look for another source to verify. If you can't most likely it cannot be trusted. ________ Was there with a friend and he introduced a product to us. He told us the advantages and so on and promised that the sound would be better than the brand of sound bar we have at home. When we got home and tried, it was not any better but worse. Seller said no return of product even if it’s on the same day of purchase. Apparently even if the brand has got 7 days return policy. So there is no return policy for this vendor, so please consider before making your purchase - go to other platforms like Harvey, Courts, Lazada, Challenger, or TK as you are guaranteed to be protected as a consumer - this will lower your risk greatly. Looking at Audio house, there is a clause for immediate return I think (same day) but it is all not important now. What is important is that future customers are aware of the practice of this store. It would be good to make informed purchases (knowing all the fine-prints) rather than going into something only to find out that you are not protected. Just like when you go to Muji, there will be clearly written terms stating that sales items cannot be returned. So consumer purchased that knowing that the items, cannot be returned and transaction is final. However, in this case, it is not so. P/S: Not saying that the seller is not legit (as it seems like they have been in business for a long time), but more of letting potential consumers who saved up to buy things and looking for professional advice to perhaps look elsewhere first as once you purchase from them, you have no turning back. Best is to go to other platforms. I mean his response of the super expensive stuff makes sense - but again, if you were to purchase from places like Harvey or Audio House and so on, you are still protected as they have 7 to 14 days return policy. #justsaying Furthermore, do note that the store is sound-proofed which leads to BETTER sound experience when you are there. A quick search in google will tell you this.

After months of research & considerations. I've decided to purchase a subwoofer with SSA. Despite couples of unreasonable bad reviews. Being a fussy buyer myself, Benjamin was patience, accommodative, friendly, honest and most importantly,, his willingness to go extra mile in making sure all my petty requests were meet. Kudos to a honest businessman. SSA will definitely be the first on shopping list when considering my future purchase.

Felt compelled to write a review for this shop. Look no further for your audio needs. This is a ten star if I can give them that. So I got in touch with the proprietor on Carousell and had a short chat with him for a while. He was patient and accommodating. He definitely know his stuff. What was really pleasant and the icing on the cake was that right after payment, his guy was en route to the warehouse to collect the item for delivery. Within couple of hours, I received the item. As I am typing this, I am still expecting a set of speakers which I bought from another shop during the 11.11 sale on 11th November itself. I guess that makes Sonic Sound ten times better.

Purchase at your risk! Refer to Peter's review if you wish to purchase. Offer to refund 70% by seller was rejected because no point. Like I mentioned, lesson learnt. :D There is no return policy unlike other platforms. Seller will mention that the item is opened (which was by him on that day itself) and brought home to try and thus cannot be returned - which is legit. Seller did transfer back $50 (without my request) and when I offered to return back he framed it as referral fee which was puzzling. As for offering to refund 70% of the price, this seems like an after-thought. The item was purchased and the intended return was on the same day within like 1 hour! Moreover, it was the seller who opened the box for us to show us the items. He even told us that the battery in the remote control is no longer working because he kept for too long. However, I find it weird that the sound can be so different at the store and at home but I am no expert in audio just a consumer. Anyway, good thing that the item I purchased is not costly, it's a lesson learnt for me to only go to trusted brands and vendors. Update: Seller did send messages stating that he has sound proofed the shop - tadah! Now we know why what we heard in store and at home is DIFFERENT. But again, it's a lesson learnt. So I would really wish to encourage any potential buyers to seriously consider before parting your money. especially those who save money for purchases or work on a budget. Hope this review will be helpful for those who may wish to purchase items from this seller - just know that purchase is final. Especially for those who have saved up just to buy entertainment items. It would be a great blow if you saved up for months to only spend your items on something which is not as great or claimed. It would be good also to do your own research first before purchasing since transaction is final (which is ok). So whoever wants to purchase from this store: 1. Do your research well before buying from them to ensure that item is working well according to your environment. 2. Seek alternative reviews of the recommendation from store. 3. Find recommendation from other places as well. Once you purchase, they do provide same day/immediate delivery to complete the transaction though, coupled with the no return policy...

Delivered as promised same day delivery, friendly and helpful seller who personally kept me informed of delivery status and eta and check if I receive the product. Also provide setup instruction and help to troubleshoot setup issue. These AV equipments can be complicated to setup so it’s better to have support from experienced seller.

Terrible experience with the seller now. I confirmed with the item (pioneer xdj rx3 1 year warranty) with the price of $2900 and he suddenly told me to transfer the money via PayNow with the price of $2999. The reason he stated was due to low stock and willingness of other customers but I felt that it was a break of promise with the former customer (already confirmed for the item and price for both seller and customer). Moreover he sounded like an auction that the person will get who can pay the stated amount. I found this from shopee and Google due to its review. But it was totally a nightmare. Hope the other customers will not experience like me. *I don't feel like giving even a single star or I cannot post my bad experience with the seller. Add in the following after receiving reply from the seller. - Such a liar and I was totally speechless as the story he shared on Google was totally different. - Explained to and sent apology to him/her why I had late reply (as I am a frontline worker in healthcare) but he/she focused on texting me to transfer $2999 via PayNow to his number (90889737) several times during this evening conversation. - Told me yesterday that "self collect $2800" then I decided to self-collect as I don't want to rush down to shop again if there is any defect. Then I was told again that it was a typo and actual price was $2900 after I have confirmed the item this morning. The reason he stated was one customer wanted it urgently and asked me whether I was fine with $2999 and it would be delivered tomorrow (the day I enquired was free shipping with the item price of $2900). I realised that during a few mins of conversation the price kept changing ranging from $2950 (self collection) to $2999 (delivery). Kept texting to me even though I did not want to purchase it as the price changed to $2999 instead of $2900 including delivery fees as we agreed initially. **Finally I enquired from other dealer a few days after that incident and purchased the same model with the price of S$2,999 without any hiccup and unhappiness. So the conclusion is that it is critical to build up trust between a dealer and a customer. I could not give my contact number to such an unreliable person though I missed his/her messages over shopee chat box due to silent notification and my work nature. To me, I disagree to one saying "Customer is always right" but building trust and keeping promise are more important. (It is not really worth to waste my time to reply every single response that they made but I don't want to be an irresponsible person. Also, I really don't want to delete this review either since other customers can differentiate the services of different dealers though my intention is not to ruin others business). PS: This is the last reply and I am not going to entertain any other responses from that shop.
