I actually came here by accident. The viral Thai stall I was aiming for was completely packed, so I ended up wandering around and found another stall on the same floor that looked kind of similar. Didn’t have high expectations, but turns out it was a pretty solid find. The spicy tom yum with thick soup was the star of the meal. It was rich, tangy, and had a legit spicy kick — definitely not watered down for the Singaporean tongue. As an Indonesian, I really appreciated that. I ordered the half portion, and it was still enough for two people to share, especially if you’re getting other dishes too. So satisfying. The pad thai was decent. Nothing out of this world, but it had the right balance of sweet, salty, and nutty. A good option if you want something more neutral to pair with the spicier dishes. The deep-fried pork with garlic and pepper was another standout. It came with this peppery, paste-like sambal as a dipping sauce, and the pork itself was super flavorful and crispy. I was already full, but honestly wish I had room to order rice with it — it would’ve made the perfect combo. Overall, even though it wasn’t the famous spot I was aiming for, I’m glad I stumbled into this place. Sometimes the backup plan ends up being the better choice.
