The Rose Veranda at Shangri-La Singapore has teamed up with L'Occitane en Provence for a Provence-inspired afternoon tea that runs from 4 June to 2 August 2026. Priced at S$58++ per adult, the same as the regular afternoon tea, it is a mini buffet rather than a tiered stand, and it folds in French mains, a charcuterie and cheese spread, and a dedicated L'Occitane-themed dessert station. The lounge has run this format as a mini buffet since moving away from its classic tiered afternoon tea sets.

The setting is Provence-themed, with yellow blooms, citrus fruit in wooden crates, and a L'Occitane bicycle at the entrance as a photo spot. The Rose Veranda has been an afternoon tea institution at Shangri-La since 1991, and this collaboration is one of the more ambitious themed runs the lounge has done.

What is on the spread

The spread opens with charcuterie and artisan French cheese, chicken liver pate, terrine and duck rillettes, and foie gras mousseline with cherry balsamic gastrique. Sandwiches include an egg salad with wild truffle aioli and a hickory salmon tarama. The main course section is where the mini buffet earns its keep: a Salmon Wellington baked with a crispy crust, Beef Bourguignon, roasted chicken in cream sauce, baked seabass with capers, and confit duck. There is also quiche Lorraine, an escargot tart, French onion soup, pasta and potato gratin.

The L'Occitane dessert station

The dessert station is the distinctively L'Occitane part. It leans on citrus and almond flavours, with an orange pound cake, canele de Bordeaux, nougat, creme brulee, macarons, tarts and madeleines. The styling is the giveaway: the patisserie station is dressed to look like a Provence shopfront, which is what makes the collaboration read as more than a menu change.

L'Occitane gifts and the lucky draw

Each month, the first 100 diners take home a L'Occitane travel-size gift set, and other diners receive beauty sachet samples and vouchers while stocks last. There is also a lucky draw running until 2 August 2026: every paying adult gets one entry, and 20 prizes are up for grabs. The first prize is a two-night stay at Shangri-La Paris plus S$130 of L'Occitane products, valued at S$4,600. The second prize is a one-night Valley Wing Deluxe Room stay at Shangri-La Singapore with breakfast for two, plus L'Occitane products. Winners are announced on 3 August 2026 at 5pm via the @shangrilasg Instagram.

Who this suits and when to go

The Rose Veranda x L'Occitane afternoon tea is the kind of midweek or weekend treat that works best for small groups of two to four. Weekday sessions (Thursday and Friday) are quieter and easier to book, while Saturday, Sunday and public holiday sessions run in two seatings (12pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 5.30pm) and tend to fill earlier. The lucky draw entry is automatic with every paying adult, so you do not need to do anything beyond paying for the buffet to be in the running. The L'Occitane travel-size gift set for the first 100 diners each month is the reason to book early in the month, as those sets run out before the month ends.
