The main role of a Dental Assistant is to provide four-handed dentistry assistance to our dentists. We have immediate vacancies for two competent dental assistants who will help make visits to our clinic an even better experience for patients.

You’ will ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentists' shoulders.

Dental assistants should be well-organised with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

We welcome all applicants including those with limited experience. We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients to the dental office
Prepare dental operatories for patient arrival

Ensure all instruments, materials and equipment are ready
Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry
Mixing of dental materials
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Manage the clinic's inventories and equipment maintenance
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Assist in taking x-rays
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Answer phone calls, reply emails and answer enquiries

Requirements

Proven experience as dental assistant will be an advantage but not compulsory
Entry level candidates are welcome to apply
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Good computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Well-organised and reliable
Good command of the English language

Preferred Qualification
Candidate must possess at least GCE ‘N’/’O’/’A’ level, Higher/NITEC, Polytechnic Diploma/College qualification
Required language(s): English
Preferably with minimum 1-year experience in Dental Assisting
