This Ya Kun outlet offers the familiar kaya toast and local coffee experience, but its location in a corner of Far East Plaza's basement gives it a slightly more dated feel. If you're simply looking for a classic Singaporean breakfast (kaya toast and kopi), it will certainly suffice.

Trusted place for their signature kaya toast, as well as their tasty smooth coffee which I enjoy too. Reasonable price. Friendly and efficient staff even though sometimes there may be a small crowd. Conveniently located on level one in the corner. Thank you! 🙏🏻

One of the better managed Yakun outlet with food prepared with care, attention to detail and staff are friendly. Breakfast ordered was delicious and coffee was really good too! Overall, nice outlet, just that space is a little too cramp.

Ya Kun Kaya Toast located at level 1 of Far East Plaza (looks like at basement level) is at a corner. It has a smaller dining area and a cosy feel. The staff was quite nice and forewarn me to be careful of the freshly steamed Kaya Chinese New Year Bun. The food and milk tea was quite nice and filling. Toast bread and hot tea/coffee is a local delight.

Hearty breakfast - steamed bun set, my fren said their half boiled egg is not as runny which to their liking. I love the steamed kaya butter bread as always. Their kopi is highly recommended, got the kick. I find that this place is not as noisy and more peaceful, enjoy it very much.

Went few times for breakfast, can’t go wrong with toast/egg/coffee combo & for a great price too.
Coffee would taste different every time depending on who made it, some days too sweet, bitter or just right.
Dine in can get cramped when busy, try to snag a table before you go to order.

Felt so short changed. The tea was just 3/4 filled. When I asked for more, he simply ignored. Kind of attitude.

The Yakun soft boiled eggs are always delivered in a consistent way. Every shops has the same quality and it’s amazing. However, this shop is very stingy in the butter and peanut spread on the bread.

Tried the chicken rendang toastwich. Not bad! Though not big enough for a lunch - would be just nice for breakfast. The rendang flavour was great and it came with a good amount of veggies. Bread was also not over-grilled such that it’s burnt. Also no takeaway container fee so thumbs up for that.
