Wanderlust Cafe at Takashimaya Department Store brings a pastel pink-hued sanctuary to Level 3's Ladies Fashion Contemporary Zone. Nestled among fashion boutiques, this in-store cafe offers freshly brewed specialty coffee from Affogato Bar, handcrafted sandwiches, light bites, and artisan desserts that provide welcome respite during Orchard Road shopping marathons.
The cafe showcases renowned patisseries including Cream & Custard, famous for their viral Watermelon Strawberry Cake that captivated Singapore when it first launched at Jalan Besar. The menu features an array of delectable bakes and desserts that change seasonally, keeping regular customers coming back to discover new creations. The pink aesthetic creates an Instagrammable environment that has made Wanderlust Cafe a popular social media destination.
What makes Wanderlust Cafe special is its hidden-gem status despite prime location. Tucked away on Level 3 rather than basement food courts, it offers a quieter, more refined cafe experience that many shoppers might overlook. Operating from 10am to 8:30pm provides ample opportunity for morning coffees, afternoon sweet breaks, or early evening light meals. The cafe also offers a coffee cart at separate locations, extending their reach beyond the main store.
The combination of specialty coffee quality, thoughtful pastry curation, and sophisticated atmosphere elevates Wanderlust Cafe above typical mall cafes. For shoppers needing proper coffee and quality desserts rather than quick caffeine fixes, this provides a genuine cafe experience without leaving Takashimaya. The presence within the Ladies Fashion zone makes it particularly convenient for shoppers wanting to refuel between trying on clothes.
Hidden gem, simple done well. The truffle egg mayo sourdough was exceptionally delicious and they plated it so beautifully. The waffle looked plain but went really well with the ice-cream to satisfy our waffle craving. A place that I think about returning, though the space is really cramped.

Stopped by for a quick bite and I was surprised at the truffle egg mayo on sourdough toast. It's was honestly pretty good! Nice and creamy and the addition of ikura added a solid salty rich umami taste. The bread was soft and went it was all pretty tasty. Didn't plan on finishing everything at one go but I couldn't stop myself.
The place is a clothing shop so it's quite small with only 4 tables for 8pax to sit and 4 bar stools at the counter. I doubt it gets very crowded in weekdays tho. Oh and cause of the location it was a little pricy
