So slow. Been here from opening and still waiting after 1 hour. Counter is soooo slow and 4 counters will always take a rest after serving 1 client. Avoid uob.

Worst banking experience I ever hard! Went to open a bank account a couple of days ago, but the staff (Staff 1) clearly forgot to register my mobile phone number. When I used online banking and mobile app later, 2FA did not work as my mobile number could not receive the password. Called customer service hotline, and the staff said I needed to go to the branch again to register my mobile phone number. When I went to the branch, Staff 1 said she just updated my mobile number in the system and actually I did not need to come! A few mins later the 2FA started to work but this whole experience sucks! Both these two staff were so bad at what they were supposed to do / inform the customers. What’s more - I also asked Staff 1 if needed to open an investment account to buy Unit Trusts. She said yes and I needed to find a personal banker in specific branches (Shaw Center does not have those personal bankers). When I logged into online banking, I found that I could buy Unit Trusts there directly without any additional process! Fortunately I didn’t spend more time going to another branch looking for a personal banker. I don’t know what’s going on with UOB staff members - they don’t know the services and offerings and their execution is bad too.

I really appreciated Ashley’s help today. I was nervous and lost as it was my first time handling my finances and I had to make large transactions. Ashley was incredibly understanding and efficient in her work, inquiring about my situation to see how she can better help and guiding me along the way

Considerate staff at the front, at least they (1 person) didnt have me take a number and wait for a long time as how other reviewers seem to have experienced, and they tried helping me walk through the steps for my "issue". Unfortunately, they were completely wrong and had me panicking when I had the "issue" fixed in another branch without too much fuss. Maybe it was because of the way I phrased my opening question but they should know better (i'll give the benefit of the doubt and say they're the front desk to give out numbers but still. And they spouted out what i at first thought was illogical reasoning, and now believe is most probably nonsense, but decided to go with it for a bit before giving up and going to another branch. Rating based on one person though. Tl;dr considerate staff but lacking knowledge.

Came here at 11 am as it opened and the place was already flooded with people. Took a queue number at the counter and waited around 40 mins for 10 people ahead of me. Saw on their poster that a queue number for specific outlets can be obtained as well ☺️ so don't need to come down to queue. Admittedly the queue was very long and off putting. But the service is really professional and extremely polite! Some staffs took their rounds with the customers to see it they can assist their enquiries as they queue and I found that to be very helpful and appeases the impatient crowds like myself. My counter staff Zhen Zhen was extremely polite and professional while carrying a smile. I feel very safe with her regarding my banking issues and it was a very jolly experience despite the long queue, which i belive is attributed to the lack of manpower at the counter booths :(
