Tok Tok Indonesian Soup House at 313@Somerset pioneered the concept of an authentic Indonesian "warung" specialising in traditional soup dishes and street snacks. Located at #B3-10, this restaurant holds the distinction of being one of the first in Singapore to focus on introducing the variety and depth of Indonesian soup cuisine to local diners.
The name "Tok Tok" comes from the "kentongan," a traditional Indonesian communication tool that makes this distinctive sound, familiar to many Indonesians as the call of street vendors. This heritage is reflected in the menu, which features an impressive array of regional soups including Soto Betawi (Jakarta Beef Soup at .80), Soto Madura (.80), Sop Buntut (Oxtail Soup at .50), Soto Ayam (Javanese Chicken Soup at .80), and Soto Tangkar (Short Ribs Beef Soup).
Beyond soups, the menu includes satisfying rice dishes such as Ayam Penyet (.80) and Tahu Tempe Penyet (), along with various noodle options. Each dish brings the authentic, home-style flavours of Indonesian street food to the heart of Orchard Road.
The success of the 313@Somerset location led to expansion, with additional outlets at Ann Siang Road and Paya Lebar Square. The restaurant serves both nostalgic Indonesians seeking a taste of home and adventurous diners discovering the rich, aromatic world of Indonesian soup cuisine.

It is better to make your online reservation if you wanna be guaranteed a table when you come, as this restaurant is still popular.
Food wise, so so only… on the serving staff: 1 helpful and 1 not so friendly. Price: we feel many items are quite over-priced by around 25% or May be that will be the norm everywhere in SG with global inflation kicks in?!🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️
We saw a table of 13 young adults the same night when we dined in and IF they are repeated customers then probably they like the food here. If they are first timers like us, then I’m not sure if they will come back here again.
A glimpse into the prices & make your own judgement: A plate of ayam Bakar cost S$30/- (too pricy?) ; oxtail soup is S$17/- (good for two to share); 10 sticks of chicken satay is $17/- (reasonably priced, I guess) Ayam satay is great👍 but the satay sauce may not to the general’s liking.
Turmeric Rice & coconut rice : S$2.80 per plate. Shredded Ice with some mixed fruits dessert S$5.80 per bowl.

My first time and last time... TOK TOK I Indonesia at Joo Chiat... The Oz Tail Soup is a tad saltish.. The Ayam Bakar is a let down... The Nasi Kuning is acceptable.... The Gado Gado is unique.... Overall the cost of $81 is over statement on the quality of the food.

I was so looking forward as they have quite a complete traditional Indonesian food. We ordered Soto betawi, mie ayam jamur, soto Ayam, siomay Bandung and ayam penyet. I think they taste pretty different, not authentic at all. For instance, soto betawi lack of the depth of the rich beef taste. Mie Ayam Jamur, noodle taste like Bakmi GM but more salty. Soto Ayam is blend, not much ingredient. Ayam penyet, I think food republic taste much better. Very disappointing.

This place is cramp. There is a lady employee in tudung blocking the already cramp entrance way . Not very friendly with almost black face, just blocking the path. Tables are dirty, filled with sticky stains. When request for the table to be wipe, even hawkers center cleaning ladies are more gentle in cleaning. Calling itself a restaurant is far fetch. It's just a hole in the wall eatery.
Perhaps it feels like Indonesia as you could see one or two staff standing in the dining area idling. Perhaps I had high hopes as I just went over to their other establishment yesterday (Kota88) for lunch. It's totally 2 different world.
Here I feel like dining in a fast food restaurant. Order, they call your number, collect your food, after you finish return your tray, leave.
Food wise is quantity over quality..
I order an Bali nasi campur. I suggest they should throw Bali out of the word play . When I recalled my Bali experience of nasi campur, Bali has babi (pork) in the campur. Here you have Sapi(beef). It's an insult to the Hindu majority Balinese. Just call nasi campur is just fine.
I'm fine with beef, however the beef satay I had should be call satay batu (stone satay). It's just too hard for chewing.
Prices wise ($10 SGD)is ok for the amount of food in Singapore standard. However the quality and experience is not justified.

It's authentic halal Indonesian food located Somerset 313 with Indonesian interior look. This place is one of husband's fave places to eat Indonesian food. We always come to this branch as Somerset near to our place. The staffs were attentive and fast response.
Our first visit was on their first opening branch in Somerset which was 3 years ago and so happy to see that they used reusable enamel mug and plate but now they replaced it with disposable which was big no no very dissapointing.
We always come for their soto Betawi (very good with generous portion), nasi kuning, soto mee, dadar jagung, sate telur puyuh, etc.

Great Indonesian fare for a pretty good price. The Ayam Soup was very flavorful and good! Love the different chili sauces provided as well, they were very spicy as what you would get in Indonesia. The service is fast as well, they also have a Coke with condensed milk drink!

Visited this outlet many times to try the Indon cuisine. Very authentic dishes that are not readily available elsewhere. Chilli is very shiok, has a good kick of spice.
For this time, I ordered Nasi Campur Bali and a Sop Ayam. Great taste of soup and lots of nice toppings in the rice too.

Not half bad for a new kid on the block. Menu is a tad scarce now but at least they serve one of my favourite Indon dish...soup buntok. Pretty decent at that really. The soup was tasty and quite brimming with that taste of traditional Indon herbs n spices. Not too shabby for the oxtails, but definitely can improve a hit further. Will try try the other dishes the next time.
