Stepping into The Writing Club felt like opening a Pandora’s box—an unforgettable introduction to the world of rare and remarkable whisky. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, possibly the most well-versed whisky expert I’ve ever met. He knows every detail about the distilleries and made three spot-on recommendations, each one exceptional. We spent a solid two hours chatting with him. His passion for whisky is clear and contagious. His wife was also present—both clearly serious whisky lovers—and the bartender was friendly and welcoming. Prices are steep, with rare drams going for $100–$200 a glass, but for us, it was more than just drinks—it was an experience. We spent over $700 for two people and left feeling inspired, not just satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone curious about the deeper side of whisky.

Very cool whiskey bar with a huge selection of whiskeys and a nice, high class feeling space to enjoy it. Prices are pretty steep so be prepared for that. There was one person in our group that doesn't drink and they wanted to charge a $25 cover charge for them if they wouldn't order a drink...very stupid considering the place was empty when we were in there. Had to order a $16 mocktail to avoid the charge. Little greedy...but other than that it was cool.

The collection of whiskies here is outstanding. The whisky flights on offer are a lovely way to try a variety of whiskies and surprisingly, rum, for a fair price. The service isn’t intrusive and attentive at the same time, with expertise on the what is being served. And they have a talented bar tender mixing up delicious cocktails.

A cosy and tasteful whisky bar. The bartender gave a great recommendation! They have a variety of flights and can surprise you with the manager's pick. Unfortunately we can't take the sofa seat even when they are empty, the 2 side seats are too straight and are uncomfortable.

Amazing place. Tons of whiskeys and they have unique whiskeys that are only sold here. The service staff, Mr. V, was very friendly and attentive. Told him what kind of flavour profiles I preferred and his recommendations were spot on. He also does great cocktails and makes them the traditional way which is a dying trade. Really appreciate his great customer service, skills and knowledge.

Best whiskey tasting experience you can get in South East Asia. We tried a flight of Japanese whiskies which were honestly fantastic. The owner was really engaged and friendly and spent quite a bit of time walking us through the different types of whiskies available and sharing experiences purchasing the various bottles he has at the distilleries. Really enjoyable afternoon though the only downside I would highlight is the price. But then again you get what you pay for and I certainly found it worthwhile.

Was introduced by a friend. They did not have a price list for their VAST collection of whiskys. VAST! You can head to the back of the bar. Pick up a bottle and see the prices on the bottle. If you can't make up you mind, you can always ask for recommendations based on your preference. Nice ambience to chill with friends or even read a book.

TWC is more than just a whiskey bar - it’s a full whiskey educational experience hosted by Soo San and his lovely wife. Hosted is the best way to describe it - from the moment we walked in, we felt like family. Every bottle - and there are so very many of them - has a story, and Soo San shared many. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the following night for a tasting event where, again, a most enjoyable educational experience was had. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a more exclusive and private feeling spot that doesn't sacrafice on knowledge or selection, this is it . Covering rare and unique whiskey with more focus on scotch but reasonable japense selection as well. Service and attention was awesome. Will be our go to spot for sure to get the variety fix without long waits. Thanks guys
