I’ve visited this spot many times and it never disappoints. The food is served incredibly fast, and everything is always fresh and delicious. The sushi bowl is a standout — generous slices of sashimi, perfectly cut and beautifully presented. But the real showstopper? The Pidan tofu. Creamy, umami-packed, and topped with a mountain of fresh scallions and tobiko – it’s a must-order every time. The karaage is crispy and satisfying, paired nicely with the spicy mayo. If you’re looking for a fuss-free, high-quality Japanese meal in town, this is a gem worth revisiting.

Quality of sashimi is still as good as when we were their regulars a decade ago. The cut was not as thick as before but still good compared to their peers. Service has improved unlike in their prime days, they were intense and curt which is a relief. 😆

Decided to walk in for early dinner today. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food we ordered were all very fresh and tasty! The quality is still as good as before! Love the Sashimi Don and Dragon Roll the most! Will definitely be back again!

Packed on Friday evening, walk in only. Group has to be present to be seated. We ordered alot of food for 3 people, abit too much. With drinks the total is $236. Other than the food is decent and a superb location nothing stood out in particular for me. Can try once but i wouldn't return.

We had a lovely lunch with the Sushi Bar at the Ngee Ann. Nice decor - modern, but not sterile. Professional staff - you can see the chefs working, and the servers were prompt and courteous. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday and were seated promptly. By the time we left at 12:30, there were a couple of tables still available. The fish is fresh - we had a kaiseki donburi, which had tuna, salmon, torched salmon, yellow tail, swordfish, tamago and ikura. S$27 for a Small, but it was actually a very generous size. A great value, we thought. The fish is sliced generously - we definitely enjoyed that. Had a few other things - sashimi trio (salmon, tuna, yellow tail - 3 pieces of each. $27), some nigiri and spicy tuna maki. Didn’t enjoy tuna nigiri as much - for some reason it was cross-cross sliced on the top and it changed the sensation of eating a slice of fish. Overall will be happy to be back when we fancy a nice sushi for reasonable $$.

Had dinner at this Japanese-themed eatery on a Friday. It was quite crowded, with a short queue outside. It was also very noisy inside, which made conversation difficult. Dishes were served quickly & the pacing felt a little rushed. Overall, it wasn’t the most comfortable dining environment for us.

Best chirashi don! The fish is fresh and thickly cut. Would highly recommend the fish miso soup and anago sushi. The anago is so delicate and melts on your mouth. I have also taken away chirashi dons and they travel well!

definitely the best mentai sushi rolls in singapore. only complaint is that they’re too small for the price tag 🥲 unagi fried rice was good too 🤩 …

It's very odd that this restaurant is getting mix review. Their sashimi is definitely fresh esp the salmon. It's so sweet and nicely cut. I tried the avocado tempura and it is fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and buttery in the inside. Don't forget to try their aburi engawa sushi!! Sooooo good!!!!!
