Ambience and Location:
This was my first visit to the Sinpopo outlet at Orchard’s Tangs. The location is convenient, and we found plenty of seating even on a Sunday afternoon, which was a great start.
Food Quality:
The Nasi Lemak was delicious, and I really enjoyed the presentation. The desserts, like the pulut hitam cake and the kueh, were good and tasty.
Service Issues:
Service was the main downside. My friends have ordered the cake & kueh first while waiting for me. When I ordered at the counter, I found the staff quite standoffish and made me feel awkward. Off to a “great” start aren’t we? 😉
There was confusion with our water—my glass didn’t have lemon slice while my friends’ did.
Also, when we asked for the bill, we waited a long time, and one of the staff members even thought we hadn’t ordered yet. It was quite puzzling and a bit frustrating.
Value for Money?
While the food was enjoyable, they were pretty pricey. It’s Orchard Road after all; so, that I can understand.
However, it’s the service issues that really brought our rating down from a potential four stars to three.

Lunched here at Sinpopo Tangs with my sisters and niece and had a wonderful lunch which spilled over to teatime with coffee and cake! Food and desserts were all super delicious! Our lovely server Dini was such a pleasant young lady that made our afternoon extra special with her warm and genuine service. We were also impressed with the great service from Josh who gave us cake recommendations and took his time to share with us special promotions. Overall a fantastic experience and I’d definitely come back again!

Large sitting capacity inside Tang shopping centre. Like the varieties of cake available and they not only look good but they are super delicious. The staff are very polite and very attentive and excellent service.
Ordered
Mao san wang cake
- durian aroma and taste is really good and rich. For people who like durian, this is the cake to go for it.
Black forest cake
- very generous with the cherry. Cover with chocolate. Chocolate cake layer is also very soft and not dry.
Kaya cake
- the first mouth give a soft and melt it melt in your mouth, the pandan kaya fragrance is so so good.- feel heavenly for people who like kaya. It also have some taste of gula melaka taste in it.
Kueh silat
- it came warm. I like the way they warm it up that make the teste different from the usual kueh splat eat in room or a bit cold temperature. Should try it!
Drinks

Chanced upon this restaurant at tangs duirng shopping. Looks very new and the ambience is lovely. Food tastes really good, so sedap and flavourful. The rojak with calamari made me realise that squid can taste good with rojak, so unexpected. I had the beef rendang and it cane with all sorts of flavours - roasted coconut, ikan bilis, sambal ikan bilis, achar, blue pea rice, hae beehiam etc etc. So yummy! My friend has pomfret fish soup noodles and loved it too. Only gripe was the drink which was imho, too small for the price.

We came to Sinpopo for an early birthday celebration for my son, and it was such a wonderful experience! The Iconic Nasi Lemak Ala Carte Dinner Buffet (extended this September) is truly worth trying. The lemak rice was so fragrant and addictive, and the variety of dishes from sides to mains to desserts were all delicious. My personal favorites were the Angus Beef Cheek Rendang, Brinjal Belado, and the Sotong Bakar Belado. Only pity was that the satay was sold out during our visit.
The staff were extremely friendly and made the evening even more memorable by singing a birthday song for my boy. He was so happy, especially finishing a whole slice of pandan cheesecake by himself! As a parent, I also appreciated that they can separate the chili in some dishes so kids who don’t eat spicy can still enjoy the food.
Overall, a heartwarming dining experience with great service, cozy ambience, and food that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!

The jackfruit salad was wonderfully original and refreshing with slices of “jambu ayer” and pink radish dressed in a tangy sauce. Definitely not for coriander haters but I loved it.
The iced golden logan drink was very good because the Logan’s weren’t soggy and tasteless from over boiling. Service was impeccable: friendly, warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit.

Food is great! Beef cheek is super tender, rice is tasty, belachan is sweet and not spicy(up to ones preference i guess i prefer spicy), fried luncheon sides are quite shiok, egg is soft, sayur lodeh tastes great, har cheong gai is nice.
But the price to portion ratio is pretty dismal, it is fairly pricey, which is understandable because of location and all, but the portion sizes will make a supermodel on a diet blush. The food is fantastic, service is great(shoutout to Midi, who was helpful throughout the meal), the only part holding one back for a return meal is portion size.
