As a bookworm, this library is a heaven. Love love love this place, their collections, their interior, comfortable sofa or tables & chair. The library itself is aestheticly pleasing, a perfect instagramble spot, with white walls and modern designed shelving, curved bookshelves. There are special rooms for study purposes on the upper levels, so you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the city while you go through your notes. Definitely best public library I ever been to.
Whats special is they have large collection of titles on design, lifestyle and applied arts. In fact, the non-fiction collection is categorised into five design clusters – people design (fashion, photography and entrepreneurs), space design (furniture, industrial and game design), visual design (advertising, printmaking and graphic design) and lifestyle design (gastronomy, wellness and travelogues).

Library@Orchard in Singapore offers a unique library experience, merging design and literature with innovative features. This public library focuses heavily on design, housing extensive collections across themes like "People," "Space," "Product," and "Visual" on its upper floor, where non-fiction and design resources are highlighted. The lower floor features fiction and multimedia, creating a distinct vibe where visitors can choose between exploration or quiet study. One of the library's standout features is its "book trees," floor-to-ceiling installations where users can select books and even interact with digital recommendations on adjacent screens.
The library also offers creative seating options, such as pod-like "cocoons" for cozy, uninterrupted reading with scenic views. It encourages social interaction in spaces like its open-plan seating area inspired by ancient Greek agoras, where visitors are welcome to converse and share ideas. The library even includes an interactive Kinect Glass wall for browsing digital content through gestures.
Library@Orchard hosts regular workshops and activities, making it more than just a reading space. The Resident Maker program, held monthly, showcases artists and designers, adding a dynamic layer to its offerings. An absolute treasure for all the book lovers out there . It's right in the heart of the city but its so serene. Has pretty much all the genres you need. The library also has a dedicated sitting area. Entrance was free as well .
It's an amazing place to just chill and relax or even study.

🟨 Came here sometime ago to check out this Library at Orchard. ● It is really designed beautifully and with functional use of spaces all over the place.
● The bookshelves all looks so chic and classy. This entire library gives off Zen vibes. I like it alot.

Such a pretty library! If you are a book
lover and looking for a quiet and peaceful place, then this is the answer. There are desks that f you want to study and comfortable seats for reading.
It’s a bit tricky to find it: take the escalator to the 3rd floor inside the mall.
