Saizeriya brings Japanese-style Italian dining to Orchard Gateway, offering remarkably affordable pasta, pizza, and Italian-inspired dishes that have made this chain a phenomenon across Asia. Originating from Japan where it operates over 1,000 locations, Saizeriya has successfully adapted Italian cuisine to suit Asian tastes and budgets, creating a unique dining category known as "yōshoku" Italian that prioritises value without sacrificing flavour.
The appeal of Saizeriya lies in its exceptional price-to-value ratio. Pasta dishes cost less than ten dollars, focaccia bread rings in at just two dollars, and the restaurant offers bottomless drinks for an additional .80, making it possible to enjoy a complete Italian meal for under fifteen dollars per person. This affordability extends across the menu, which features appetisers starting from as low as .20, allowing diners to sample multiple dishes without breaking the bank.
The menu encompasses classic Italian fare including Carbonara and Bolognese pasta, hand-stretched crust pizzas, grilled meats, fresh salads, soups, rice-based doria dishes, and desserts. Whilst the cooking style reflects Japanese interpretations of Italian cuisine rather than strictly authentic preparations, the food delivers satisfying flavours and generous portions that appeal to families, students, and budget-conscious diners. The mix-and-match pricing encourages sharing multiple dishes, making Saizeriya particularly popular for group dining.
Since opening its first Singapore location in 2008, Saizeriya has expanded to approximately 30 outlets across the island, with the Orchard Gateway branch benefiting from prime positioning near Somerset MRT station. The casual, no-frills environment focuses attention on the food and value proposition rather than elaborate decor. For those seeking affordable Italian-style dining with quick service and consistent quality, Saizeriya delivers an experience that explains why this Japanese chain has cultivated such a devoted following throughout Asia, providing accessible comfort food that fits easily into regular dining rotation.

I used to eat margerita pizza and seafood alio olio in saizeriya, but tdy’s pasta was soooo BLEND it feels like just eat boiled noodle 😂😂 so i asked to staff but she told me like I’m the problem. It’s definitely different compare to usual. And she just say what do u want with anger 😟 even i asked to cook again but it’s still like water without any seasoning. But The woman staff never say sorry to me 🤨 she was Sooooo rude ans never try to understand what im saying. i really love saizeriya for my meal but now i NEVER come orchard shop again. Just recommend to go saizeriya in other places 🥲🥲🥲

was served a hamburg that was straight up rawraw as if they didnt bother to cook it, and the server’s response to that seemed very nonchalant and calm, didnt even bother apologising - which we couldve gotten very sick if consumed
i mean they serve really affordable meals but that doesnt mean it shldnt be properly cooked, hmm this experience completely changed my impression for this restaurant at this outlet (this has never happened at other outlets before)

Casual Dining Italian Restaurant. Cheap and Good. Value for money. The staff are helpful and friendly. Can be crowded during peak hours.

Undoubtedly the cheapest (or rather reasonable and affordable) chain restaurant that offer simple Italian dishes.
For a table of 3, we ordered one mushroom soup each, 3 mains (Scallop Cream Gratin with Salmon, Black Truffle & Mushroom Pasta and a Grilled Salmon) and a few side dishes for sharing (Oven Grilled Escargot, Parma Ham Salad, Parma Ham Pizza, Grilled Green Mussels with Lime Garlic, Bake Clams and Chicken Wings).
Overall, the mains are delicious and reasonably priced, especially the New item on the menu; Scallop Cream Gratin with Salmon.
For the sides, the Oven Grilled Escargot is the most disappointing as the taste appeared to be different from what I have eaten in the past. However, the new item, Grilled Green Mussels with Lime Garlic tasted much better with the sweet sour savoury spicy combination taste of the lime and garlic. The Baked Clams is dry and unappealing. Next, the chicken wing is not appealing as well both in terms of size and taste but expected for the price paid.
Both new Parma ham dishes, salad and pizza is delicious and reasonably priced. The mushroom soup is just normal, given the price, I would not mind even if it was prepared straight out from the can.
For desserts, we ordered new dessert, Matcha Yuzu Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava. Both are not a disappointment; the cheesecake is not overly sweet and the Chocolate lava, is great to have to end the dinner since it is their best seller.
Overall, our dining experience is great. We went on a weekday night as there is a queue even after 8.00pm. Luckily we arrived early to beat the queue, else there may be a waiting time of at least 20 minutes.

Different outlet of Saizeriya taste differently. Pepperoni pizza getting thinner and thinner. Taste still good. Lime Garlic chicken, the topping on top way too sweet but the garlic is really strong, if less sweet is better to even out the taste of sweet and savoury with a tinge of lime.
Carbonara pasta and Hamburg always the best. But the Chef salad seem the sauce is very stingy, very. Ask for more sauce also not enough. Too much croutons and a few pieces of the leaves. Better rename it as Croutons Salad.
Verdict, the best Saizeriya is at Chinatown Point. I forgot to review all the time.

The cheapest and tasty western food in the town, gathering with friends or family here, you could order a lot of different dishes to try, free flow drinks from coffee to soft drinks. A lot to choose from the menu, pizza, pasta, rice, grills and etc.
Food was all tastes great and food serving fast, just need to queue for a bit before seated.
