Sagye Korean Pot Rice is absolutely delicious and easily my favourite Korean restaurant in Singapore.
Even though the queue system requires booking via QR code and I don’t have a Singapore phone number, the staff were incredibly helpful and assisted me patiently until everything was sorted. Their service truly made the experience smooth and welcoming.
The beef pot rice was amazing — flavourful and perfectly cooked, and the sauce for mixing with the rice was so good it elevated the whole dish. The seafood pancake is a must-try as well, crispy on the outside and packed with generous ingredients.
All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the banchan can be refilled anytime, which is a big plus. A wonderful dining experience overall. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came for lunch around 11+am and the restaurant is starting to get packed with diners. Ordered the beef ribs pot rice and the octopus web foot pot rice. Didn’t get to try the beef ribs pot rice as I dun take beef. My friends however have praises for the dish. I tried the octopus web foot pot rice and love it. The dish has lots of juicy web foot, balanced with rice and gochujang sauce. The banchan are refillable and the kimchi is highly recommend.
We left the restaurant feeling full both at the tummy and also at heart.

The restaurant is full, there are queues. I heard that it’s good so here I am.
However, the food isn’t up to expectations especially at the price point. The complimentary soup is nice. The ginseng chicken is rather tough (I’ve no idea why, when it is boiled in the soup). The pork and beef rice bowls are fine. The seafood pancake is act-crispy-real-hard, my gum hurts now. The fried chicken is juicy and nice. Overall I won’t crave for the food here. Honestly, only the seafood pancake is a big no no, it’s just that at this price range they’re not worth, hence the 3 stars.
Service is 5 stars as there are empty bowls and complimentary Korean barley tea (I think so). There are also side dishes and the staffs are very friendly even when the restaurant is so busy.
Korean songs in the background so 5 stars for atmosphere.

Tried the new Sagye outlet at Wheelock Place and it did not disappoint! We ordered the bossam, japchae, soy garlic fried chicken, and a variety of sotbap — including the king size beef short rib, assorted vegetable, dong po, Japan wagyu ribeye, grilled salmon, and octopus. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. You can really taste the authenticity and attention to detail in each bowl of pot rice.
The ambiance is cozy yet modern, perfect for gatherings or casual meals. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes from their seasonal menu! Highly recommend Sagye if you love authentic Korean food done rig

They offer many different choices of Korean iron pot rice, such as pork, beef, and seafood. I tried a few and liked all of them. They also provide free side dishes and seaweed soup.
Points to deduct:
1. The seaweed soup is one free bowl with no refill, and the bowl is the same size whether it is for a four person table or a single diner. Even a four person table cannot get a refill. The cost of the soup is very low, so this policy feels unnecessary. They could offer two bowls for a four person table or simply allow refills to appear more generous. Especially when the food itself is not cheap.
2. The fried chicken is really not tasty.

Flavours were right on the spot. Crunch and softness too. Banchan quite typical - had nicer one elsewhere. The shop is a mix of olden Korean house with a touch of modern japan. There were like 5 pple at the counter. Somehow they can’t hear me when walk past me when I called out for a refill of one banchan.

Came on a Monday night for dinner, place was crowded but still had a few empty seats. Overall I personally felt that the service was good! Staff were friendly and happily assisted with our multiple requests to refill the sides. Food were good too, please do try their fried chicken! Many generous pieces despite half portion. Didn’t feel rushed to finish our meals or to leave early, we stayed till 930pm! (But please see situation, this day we came, there was no queue and place was not full). It is on the pricy side, but feel that food is not bad

We came here on a Friday evening and we were lucky to be able to get a table almost immediately. They don't accept reservations so you must join the queue. I don't think it is suitable for large groups, 4-6 would be fine.
We ordered 2 of the Korean Pot Rice: one with the wagyu beef, one with the scallops. I enjoyed the scallops more. The waygyu beef was a bit too cooked for my liking. It was also a bit expensive.
I probably won't recommend ordering the BBQ set. Not that it is bad, but you don't get to BBQ the meat yourself, an experience some people might find important to have.
Like many other Korean restaurants, this place plays music / music videos on a huge TV. Try not to sit near the TV, the speakers are a bit loud.
Cashless payment accepted. Not super wheelchair friendly I'd say, the restaurant is quite packed.

Came at 7pm on a Thursday and got seated immediately, food came out very quickly as well.
We got the beef and the scallop sotbaps and both were good! The beef is very tender and the scallop + fish roe combo was p unique. The beef one is stronger in flavour but might be a bit jelak to finish if you're one person, so sharing both worked out well for us. The multigrain rice was not too intimidating (I personally don't like it if the grains are too hard lol) and the amount of crispy rice you get at the bottom is just nice.
Strangely even though the restaurant was not very busy the staff brought the receipt to us around 8pm for payment, so perhaps not the best location to stick around and chat with friends...

We ordered their scallops and beef short ribs rice bowl with kimchi stew on the side. Every mouthful was packed with flavor, the scallops were fresh, the beef was soft and tender. The kimichi stew was authentic. Every dish exceeded our expectations. Service was good - We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and were 7th in line but we were seated in less than 20 minutes. We will be back!
