They do a one size fits all approach. I have been doing my nails for over 10 years. I came in with a thicker application - which I know works for me and I asked them for the same. They did my nails thinner than paper. Then pressured me to take up a package. I managed to refuse the package despite the very strong pressure. If you need your nails done a certain way they simply don’t listen. It was incredibly expensive also. They quote prices excluding GST which was already exorbitant, and then they hit you with the price including GST. I only went there because it was Christmas and I forgot to book my regular place in time.. it cost almost $250 for an express gel mani and classic pedi. Really expensive for a job badly done. Won’t be going back there, that’s for sure.

Update: I reached out to Pixie Nail Spa via their online form and they offered to help redo my nails. I went through the trouble of going back and they fixed only the chipped and lifting nails. So the colors on my nails are now all at different grown out lengths. Looks pretty bad. The staff said they are only required to fix the defective nails. Anyways this was a few days ago and the redone nails are lifting and chipping again. ORIGINAL: My usual nail place is the Buff’d Nail Spa outlet within the Pixie Group. I gave Wheelock outlet a chance because it was nearby and it was a HUGE mistake. I had my gel mani done on 19 June and by 23 June so many areas were already lifting + one chip has surfaced. The mani was very brashly done and they obviously did not take the time or effort to properly prep the nail before applying color. Do not waste your money or package sessions here….

I’ve been going to different outlets for the past three years, and this is the first time I’ve had such a disappointing experience. I booked a Classic Mani and Classic Pedi at the Wheelock outlet and was told the prices were $49 and $59. I agreed, assuming these were the usual rates. Only later did I realise the standard prices are $29 and $39. The staff had added a $10 “salt” charge to each service without informing me, and even put the salt into the water without explaining that it was a paid add-on. When I questioned it, they immediately showed a video of me agreeing to the higher prices — but the issue is the lack of transparency. Agreeing to a price means nothing if the add-ons were never explained in the first place. This is really about principle. I’ve never encountered this practice at any of their other outlets. Very disappointing experience at Wheelock, and I hope they address this.

Had to unwillingly give a star review, when it deserves negative stars. I went in after a long day at work, thinking that it would be a relaxing time, just a simple manicure and pedicure spa. During the session, the manicurist kept suggesting, at the same time automatically performing the add-on services without me actually agreeing to it first. I was dumbfounded when I got the bill. Which ridiculously came up to be $848. This brings shocked to me. The manicurists did not leave me alone at all during the session, repeatedly hard selling me their packages even I have decline it several times. Such a terrible experience in this salon and will NEVER return or recommend to anyone.

The spa seems lovely and the ladies service is great. BUT. Big warning, they HARD SELL like crazy, pressuring you into buying packages. After being so flustered I got suckered into buying a package. They breeze over the small print with you. only to find out that if you can't use your package balance to pay for services 10 days before Xmas and CNY. So basically their most loyal customers, the ones who come all year round, cannot use their packages in the peak season. It's shocking. I asked for a refund on my package, but of course no refunds.

Please do not use the services here. Or any pixie nails outlet. They will pressure customers to pay additional for nail colour even when you have an all inclusive package. When asked which colour then is in the all inclusive gelish package, they replied all colours need to top up because they are using better quality polish. So I sat in that case I can’t continue my package bcos that’s not what I pay for? So please do a refund on my package! Then they say it’s ok they will not charge. This is ridiculous. Every visit in any Pixie outlet is a stressful one as they will pressure the customer to sign on more packages or pressure tactic to top up pay more for services you dun need. Please do not use the services here unless you want to end up paying a lot more

If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible experience EVERY TIME I COME. There is always some excuse as to why you cannot utilize your package . Today with $196 in my package and no one in the shop I’m told I cannot use my package because it falls within 10 days before Christmas and therefore according to fine print cannot be used. I have faced attempted upselling whenever I actually do get to use my package. I would advise anyone looking for prompt, professional service to stay away.

I’m usually a really picky person who loves to nitpick every little detail! But I absolutely love Pei Pei’s skill 🤩 She very professional and meticulous. Every time I go to her for nails, eyelash extensions or eyebrow embroidery, she’s always so friendly and funny, constantly making me laugh and feel completely relaxed 😆😆😆 The whole process never feels stiff or stressful.I always leave feeling happy and beautiful!

Would not ever return to this branch at Wheelock or Novena; but bought a package so no choice to find their other outlets. The girls all speak in Vietnamese loudly so it makes me feel horrible when I am pushed to buy more package or any add-ons. Tried the one (Quoosh) at Wisma and it's actually better in regards to finally not being pushed to buy more EVERY FREAKING VISIT. It has been stressful to think about returning to finish my gelish pedi package (which yes, I still have to top up $10 each time bc of the polish choice). After reading previous reviews, I will now negotiate for no-top-up bc of the package bought. I will never buy a package from Pixie chain ever again.
