Picnic Food Hall brings a refreshing beach-themed dining concept to Far East Plaza, transforming the former My CK departmental store space into a vibrant nine-stall food court. Opened in 2025, this cosy establishment features tropical decor including pseudo coconut trees and rattan lights that evoke a relaxing seaside atmosphere right in the heart of Orchard Road.
The food hall showcases culinary diversity with stalls offering everything from local zi char and chicken rice to French, Japanese, Western, Korean cuisines, and sweet desserts. This variety makes it an ideal spot for groups with different taste preferences or solo diners exploring various flavours. The casual dining environment appeals to shoppers taking a break, office workers seeking lunch options, and food enthusiasts looking for accessible international fare.
Among the featured vendors is Sky Sky Chicken Rice, which also operates at Orchard Takashimaya Food Court, alongside other stalls serving curry fish balls and various Asian and Western specialities. The bright, welcoming space provides comfortable seating where diners can relax while enjoying their meals in a laid-back setting that contrasts with the typical mall food court experience.
Located at units 01-08 to 14 at 14 Scotts Road, Picnic Food Hall is conveniently situated near Tangs Plaza and Shaw Theatres Lido. The food court is easily accessible from Orchard MRT station, making it a popular dining destination for both locals and visitors exploring the shopping district.

Very bad food and bad attitude from this guy at (Jia Chang Fan)… the food was ice cold when it was supposed to be at least warm. I went back to request for the food to be reheated. The guy rudely stared at me and said all the food they serve is normally cold. He even refused to reheat it for me… I work here in Far East Plaza. And I cannot believe this type of shop or people are allowed to sell cold food here.

Ordered 2 packets of chicken rice + egg from Sergeant Chicken Rice stall and was charged $18. ($7.80 + $1.20 =$9 per packet). The stall vendor/owner told me that the $6 portion was only for dine in and take away has to be the $7.80 portion and idk why. Came home to find out that he didn’t put any eggs in either box. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

Very disappointed with the environment and comfort level here.
The ventilation is TERRIBLE— you can smell the food the moment you walk in. Air-conditioning is weak, and when the sun shines in during lunch, it becomes hot, humid, and stuffy. I even saw staff perspiring while working. With all three glass doors left open, it just gets worse.
They’ve also placed a few tables outside, directly under the sun. Honestly, who would sit in the heat just to eat bak chor mee?
There are already a few bad reviews about some stallholders, and it really seems like no one’s taking these issues seriously.
Personally, I’d rather take the lift up to the 5th floor to enjoy a nice plate of chicken rice in proper air-conditioning, or walk a little further to Orchard Tower’s 'Brew Kopi', where the atmosphere is far more comfortable and pleasant.
Unless the goal is to wind down operations, someone needs to step in and take this seriously! Management should listen, take responsibility, and act !!!

Made to pay twice for my coffee. Despite showing my transaction to the cashier. I was made to repay again as her system did not show up the transaction.

Went to Jang Bunsik today has a nice cold draft Belgium beer while sitting outside watching people walk buy (also had a bottle of Thai rice beer which as even better). Decided to have a few snacks had the Cheese Ramyeon which was nice and spicy and the Hotteok which was delicious (wish I ordered two sets). Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Prices are very good indeed - Great location in Scots road outside Far East Plaza.

Beach vibes… in Orchard and honestly, it feels like a mini tropical escape in the city.
They’ve got coconut trees, rattan lights, warm beachy tones — the whole place just feels chill. Like you’re on vacay… but actually, you’re just beside Tangs and Shaw Lido 😂.
We tried a bunch of stuff — first up, sky sky chicken1994
Their steamed chicken rice set was so good — super tender, flavourful, and comes with achar, egg, soup… the whole deal.
Then kam jia zhuang — okay, their Creamy Pumpkin Prawn Balls?? Crunchy, sweet, creamy… I wasn’t expecting it to hit that hard.
Also jang bun sik— spicy chicken ramyeon, total comfort food. And the Chicken Katsu from the Japanese stall? Perfect golden crunch, juicy inside… chef’s kiss 👌
For drinks, we had the Pink Lagoon and Ocean Breeze — super aesthetic, super refreshing
Also got their Breakfast Set with kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs. Simple, classic, can’t go wrong. Ended off with an icy chendol ‘cause… dessert always got space lah 😋
They’ve got more stalls too — like da tou ban mian for handmade mee hoon kuay, Cu Liang Yu Fen if you want something lighter, and Seng Kee Yong Tau Fu where you can go curry, mala, or tom yum style 🔥
Oh, and they’ve got a loyalty promo going on till end Dec — spend $6, collect stamps, and you can score free drinks, desserts, even 10% off your next meal. Not bad right?

Good to have a food court option in orchard area, located at far East plaza, the picnic, just opened. There's mixed economy rice and porridge (the Brinjal, herbal chicken quite nice), fish soup, kaya butter toast set comesw with eggs and coffee. It is beach themed venue. Other shops like Cu Liang Yu Fen, Chicken Rice, and Jia Chang Fan . Porridge. Easy to park at far East plaza itself.
