Dining Experience: The sitting format here is unique—it’s styled like a ramen shop, with a counter-seat setup that’s quite fresh for a local Bak Chor Mee stall. It adds a fun, modern twist to the usual hawker experience.
Service: The servers were extremely polite and welcoming, always smiling and efficient. Despite the crowd, waiting time was reasonable, and once seated, food arrived quickly after ordering. Great job on service!
Food:
- Broth & Ingredients: The broth was rich and flavorful, and the liver was fresh and perfectly cooked—no rubbery texture here.
- Mee Sua with Vinegar: As someone who isn’t a big vinegar fan, I found the vinegar in the mee sua a bit overpowering. If you love tangy flavors, you’ll enjoy it, but if not, you might want to ask for less vinegar.
Verdict: A refreshing take on a local favorite with excellent service and quality ingredients. The ramen-style seating makes it stand out, and the food is well-prepared—just be mindful of the vinegar if you’re not into strong sour notes.

It's quite a fascinating story that the uncle who used to run the stall at Clarke Quay's BK Eating House now helms this outlet with a young team (as detailed in the 8days online article). Given the small size of the space, I appreciate that they offer GrabFood delivery, allowing us to enjoy their food from the comfort of our own home.
The mee pok bak chor mee is perfectly al dente, with a robust chili sauce and a well-balanced umami flavor. The soup and ingredients together make the entire bowl exceptionally enjoyable. If I'm ever out for drinks, I'll definitely swing by in person for a bowl of these noodles!

Sgd7.9 for signature bak chor mee, can choose mee pok, mee kia, or mee sua. First impression - noodles look anemic and under seasoned. But the sauce is all underneath, must do a major toss and mix well. Sauce is balanced, less spicy still has some kick. Pork lard is crispy, noodles is al dente, lots of minced pork. Comes with large bowl of soup with 1 fish dumpling, 2 fish balls, 2 meatballs, and quite a few slices of tender pork cooked just right. We asked for no liver but a small piece of liver got in, and it tasted so good - no weird smell, super silky and not chalky at all. We might just take the liver next time, will also try the mee sua that many patrons were trying. Ambience felt like a hole in the wall ramen place, couple of houseflies were flying around and eventually got zapped. Service very prompt and polite. We will definitely be back.

A hole in the wall that opens only at 8pm for late dinner and supper. I was initially skeptical as the pictures in the Google reviews I saw didn't look very good, looking pale and lifeless. Ordered the signature bak chor mee ($7.90) with mee pok, and when it came, it didn't look very good either, quite plain looking. However, once mixed, we discovered the sauce is all underneath, so you need to mix to coat the noodles. The other liao are all in the soup - Fishball, her kiao, meatballs, pork slices, liver (1 tiny stray one despite us saying no liver). Taste wise, or was excellent - way better than it initially looked. The chilli also packs a punch. The soup was also sweet. The fish balls, meatballs and pork were all succulent. Service was good. Despite ordering just 1 bowl to share, we were served professionally. Ambience felt like a ramen bar.

A pleasant experience. Visited on a Friday night at around 9.45pm. There wasn’t yet a queue formed but had to wait for about 10mins for a seat. Staff were friendly, and served really quickly. Noodles tasted normal but the broth was lovely generous料 (ingredients). Chilli in the noodles was quite unique though. Queue start to form after 10pm. I would say it’s a lovely affordable place for a late dinner. Hassle-free, affordable meal in the city centre that is so local and delightful.

This is a must visit for affordable great tasting food in Orchard.
The place is located in a pretty obscure location in Orchard Plaza. The store itself is really tiny, with only around 10 seats in a bar like environment. There are no tables, rather the seats are in front of a "bar". While you sit there, you can see the chef and staff prepare the food, which is an experience.
I got myself the regular Bak Chor Mee at $7.90, with extra pork lard at no extra charge. I didn't expect too much at first, as i thought it was just bak chor mee. However, I was really surprised when I got my bowl.
The soup bowl was much bigger than I thought, with a great deal of ingredients, such as fishcake, minced pork, fishballs, pork slices, and pork liver. The soup was really flavourful and in-depth, with a strong seafood and umami flavour. The pork slices and minced pork were also really good as they were really tender due to having cuts of fat in between them.
But the standout was the pork liver. They were thick slices and were cooked just right, meaning they did not have that pungent overcooked pork liver taste from most stalls. The bowl itself was also very generous with the amount of pork liver given.
For the noodles, their signature was Mee Sua, which was what I got. They also had the usual mee kia and mee pok.
I was a bit skeptical, as normally bak chor mee is eaten with mee kia and mee pok, not mee sua, but i was pleasently surprised !.
I got the non spicy version with ketchup. They gave a very generous amount of ketchup, along with a hefty portion of pork lard and lard oil. Mixed together with the noodles made for a very satisfying bite. The mee sua paired with the sauce quite well.
Overall, I was very pleasently surprised by the food here, and I will definitely be coming back for the bak chor mee in the future.

**Hidden Bak Chor Mee Gem at Orchard Plaza**
Returning to this 4th level hideaway in 44-year-old Orchard Plaza, I found myself once again savoring Singapore’s quintessential midnight comfort food.
The broth delivers remarkable depth—rich, clear, and perfectly balanced. The pork liver deserves special praise: whisper-thin slices served intentionally rare, completing their gentle cooking process in the steaming soup. This preserves their silky texture while eliminating any metallic notes.
The noodles maintain perfect bite throughout, each strand gloriously coated with the proprietor’s homemade sambal and precisely calibrated vinegar—creating a harmony of flavors that never falters from first twirl to last.
At $7.90, this signature bowl represents exceptional value for such mindful cooking that honors tradition while speaking fluently to contemporary tastes.

For S$7.90 a bowl of Bak chor mee with a huge heap of bouncy and fresh minced meat, sitting on a mound of delicious noodles (choose from mee pok, mee Kia, kwey teow or mee sua), drenched in umami homemade chilli sauce and vinegar with loads of pork lard… now top that off with a clear and delicious soup filled with bouncy yellow tail fishballs, fish dumplings, fish cakes and tender melt in your mouth pork liver… what more can you ask for? Totally value for money. Uncle is a Bak Chor Masterchef. Sitting is like a Japanese ramen stall around the cooking counter. Fast service by a nice young chap with black frame specs. Order is fast and payment via QR code. I’ve been back since my first visit and my parents have also gone (because I showed them photos) and they gave it 2 thumbs up. Expect to queue during peak periods. If you don’t want carbs, try their fishball or fish dumplings soup. It’s also loaded with minced meat. Their specialty? Try their dry pork liver filled with pork lard and their homemade chilli sauce. Umami to the max!

Still as good as the original at BK eating house! The liver is fresh and tender, the vinegar is just spot on; the minced pork is generous, the mee sua is as I remember it. Will go back if I’m nearby but it’s more like a post drinking supper spot rather than a usual makan place.

Really enjoy the soup, especially the pork liver as its cooked really well, the texture of the Liver BEST! And also the pork meat and fishball, they were so good. Soup is tasty and comforting. But not the BCM, for
Me, i only taste salty and sour, not balance and tasty even there some pork lards inside but the pork taste is not there.
