Old Seng Choong OSC at Paragon brings heritage Chinese medical halls' traditional wellness products into modern retail format, offering Chinese herbs, traditional remedies, health supplements, and wellness products that serve both traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and health-conscious consumers. The shop represents evolution of traditional medicine halls that have served Chinese communities for generations, adapting to contemporary needs while maintaining commitment to quality and authenticity. Product selection includes dried herbs used in Chinese medicinal preparations, pre-packaged remedies addressing specific health concerns, tonics and supplements for general wellness, bird's nest and other premium nutritional items, and modern health products incorporating traditional Chinese medicine principles. The knowledgeable staff provide guidance on product selection, proper usage, and traditional applications, though they typically don't replace professional TCM practitioner consultations for serious health concerns. For individuals following TCM approaches to health maintenance, the shop provides essential access to quality ingredients and products. The modern retail environment makes traditional Chinese wellness products accessible and less intimidating for younger generations and non-Chinese customers curious about TCM approaches. Popular products include cooling teas for heatiness, energy-boosting tonics, immune support formulations, and beauty-from-within supplements following Chinese medicine philosophy that internal health manifests externally. The shop serves as bridge between ancient wellness traditions and modern lifestyles, demonstrating how traditional Chinese medicine remains relevant for contemporary health maintenance and prevention.

No smiles from the staff when I asked to self collect my online order. No attempt to upsell or recommend me anything else. It was too sweet my mom said. Will not patronise again. Thanks.

Don’t miss Old Seng Choong if you’re hunting for beautifully presented Singaporean treats!
I tried their egg tarts recently and they were honestly really delicious — rich, smooth, and had that perfect buttery crust. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the flavor and packaging. That said, the prices are on the higher side, so it feels more like a special occasion buy or a thoughtful gift rather than an everyday snack.
Overall, a classy spot for premium local goodies that’ll definitely impress! Would totally recommend for souvenirs or celebrations.

Haven’t heard of Old Seng Choong before.
Chanced upon it while walking in the basement of Paragon.
Decided to buy the Lao Po Bing 老婆饼, charcoal egg tart and creme brûlée tart because they look so appetising.
The taste is as good as they look!! 😋😋😋

love the local twist! The Pandan and Chocolate Orange cookies are so good, especially the Truffle Char Siew and Crème Brûlée tart!

Came to get the pandan chiffon cake - presentable packaging that is good for gifting. The cake is soft, spongy and moist. The flavor seemed to have a hint of coconut in my opinion.
Saw the Creme brûlée egg tart on display and had to try it 😆 the consistency was indeed creamy like a creme brûlée! The crust was buttery and delicious.
Service was cold but swift.

Old Seng Choong is one of my favourite pastry shops. I love their savoury and sweet pastries so much, especially their Crème Brûlée Tart – it literally melts in your mouth.
