I went to Michelle's Alteration today to get my tiered dress altered. As the dress is tiered, I was afraid the tiers will not be balanced after the alteration. Michelle patiently pinned the length and let me check if the tier will be still ok after the alteration. She was fast and efficient and I appreciated her advice on my other dresses too. My dress is nicely altered :) Highly recommended.

Don't bother going. I sent my dress for alterations and i got it back with unsewn end. They just cut my dress with scissors and return it to me as it is for $12. I could've just cut my own dress if thats the case. Ontop of that, the staff there were incredibly rude Just so unfortunate that i didnt read the reviews first before heading there

I have tried many alteration shops in Far East Plaza and Michelle Alteration is by far the fastest one with good efficiency. Having read the bad reviews about Michelle, i feel there is a need for me to write this review. I have frequented this shop for more than 8 years and I know Michelle as someone vocal, straight forward and no nonsense lady, which may indirectly made people feel that she is rude. In actual fact , she is sharing her most honest opinion and i get by fair share too, which i really appreciate her frankness.
Other than Michelle, i also frequent another alteration shop on level 4. Please do not expect these people to welcome you and say hello cos they are not running restaurants or selling clothes. Each time i go, i feel at ease by saying hello to everyone but never expecting any response as they are busy and talking among themselves sometimes which i fully understand.
Thus Michelle still deserve a 5 star for her in -depth experience and dedication and committment to deliver soonest possible.

I have been going to Michelle's Alterations for ages, but I didn't realise they had moved! This time I took in four pairs of jeans that need hemming.
Michelle and her team are always so lovely and helpful, and they do a fantastic job. Seriously, their work is top-notch.
Recently, I have seen some pretty nasty one-star reviews on Google, and I get why people are frustrated sometimes. But for me, it's all about making sure you're really clear about what you want. Michelle's English isn't perfect, so it's easy for things to get a bit lost in translation. Maybe showing her a picture or writing down exactly what you need would help avoid any misunderstandings. A little extra effort goes a long way!
Michelle's prices have increased recently, a reflection of the significant rent hikes experienced by businesses in Far East Plaza over the past few years. This is a common trend amongst retailers in the area, as rising operational costs inevitably impact pricing structures. While the price increase might be initially disappointing, it's understandable given the substantial increase in overhead expenses faced by the business. Many businesses in similar situations have had to make similar adjustments to remain viable.

If I could give 0 star I would.. I’ve been a loyal customer years ago ever since I was a student.. the only reason why I go to them was because they could get the work done within a few hours. Unfortunately their service has only gotten worse, aunties always chat among themselves and ignore you when they see a customer.. have to wait a few minutes before they attend to u, don’t even say hi or thank you when ure being polite to them. Especially this auntie with long brown hair pony tail and glasses… this is the last time I am going to them because look at the horrible work done to my top I can’t wear this out anymore! horrible horrible and they charge their prices inconsistently ugh

A highly unprofessional and disorganised alteration service - DO NOT USE!!! I took my shirt there for a minor alteration requiring a small rip to be patched up in the under arm area of the garment, which I explained very clearly to the aunty. She had a rushed attitude and didn't seem to take interest in hearing my instructions.
The task was pretty simple, however, due to her complacency and disregard for my instructions she ruined my shirt. Picture attached! She even had the audacity to charge me $10 for her abominable work.
It's a shame, now the garment is ruined.
Don't go here, you might as well dispose your clothes after using their service!!!

Cheap but expect extremely poor quality. Brought my expensive jeans in to alter the waist and it came back to me with uneven stitching, to the point where it rides up on one side and looks like a wedgie. The fabric was just folded in conveniently and resewn which shows very little effort. Also they removed the brand tag and didn’t bother sewing it back. Will never visit again.

Similar to other reviews, the lady boss working here has a foul attitude. She was condescending and viciously rude.
Workmanship was also non-existent. They can’t even do a simple alteration well. Loose threads everywhere and they left behind a horrible yellow line on the hem.
What a joke honestly.

Tok bad Michelle has such a bad attitude as the actual sawing isnt bad. The pricing depends, sometimes is reasonable sometimes excessive but always dreading going there. Becoming an expat place.

Dont go ever go there..Brought 2 pairs of trousers to alter length. Both came back with different hem lengths. Bad service & attitude.
