In Singapore’s Takashimaya you can find a lot of Japanese goodies such as this restaurant in the basement. Seating is fitted for single, double or fours. Food is fresh and reasonable priced

I would like to order the Kaisen Take and Unagi Take, which are both moderately priced set meals. Both of these meals are incredibly delicious. The temperature of the soup is perfect for my taste.

great expectation. Eat normal without adding soup into bowl, disappointed. just normal salmon, tuna with minced tuna. After adding soup into bowl, taste better. give a 4 star. not enough salmon and tuna for me. good experience but would not come again.

2025.11.25 Excellent that they have small, medium & large servings ! I tried the Small (ume) unagi and asked them to half the rice. Not not as good as Man Man (with the char taste), it is good enough. I love it. I will come back here again.

Tried Maguro Yukimitsu and went for the plus versions of both sets, which came loaded with extra toppings. The Maguro Yukimitsu bowl was a colourful mix of minced tuna, fresh salmon, tender tuna cubes, glistening ikura roe and creamy sea urchin. The Hitsumabushi unagi bowl was fragrant, with perfectly grilled eel and a light, savoury sauce. With the SG60 promo, we managed to enjoy both for just $60 and even used Takashimaya gift vouchers to pay. Had a fresh, satisfying and fuss free treat. I would have preferred the Maguro Yukimitsu set to be served with sushi sticky rice rather than warm rice.

The Salmon Sashimi is very fresh! So silky fatty! I'd highly recommend this place. Price is reasonable for the quality food.

No place to queue for seats so just stand at counter. Food is tasty but portion small for price. No GST or service charge, all nett price.0

I had unagi ume , don’t have a lot of bones which is good for me. I would love to come back to try other mains.

One of the most satisfying meal I had at Takashimaya basement food counter. Food was fresh and delicious. I ate all and did not take any pictures, haha. Kaiser Tokuju, Unagi Ume.

Tried the unagi hitsumabushi and was pleasantly surprised — really good quality for a reasonable price at just $14.90. The unagi was paired perfectly with the rice. The temperature of the soup was just right for my taste too — warm and soothing. I also have my eye on the Kaisen Take and Unagi Take set meals — both moderately priced and packed with flavor. They’re definitely worth trying if you’re looking for satisfying, well-balanced Japanese meals without breaking the bank. This outlet is tucked away in the Japanese food hall just outside Cold Storage. It’s a cozy little spot with ample seating, even on a Sunday morning. Just remember to order at the counter before grabbing a seat.
