Food was really below average - dry and lacking taste. Got the fish & chips and cod fish fish cake, on top on a croissant. If the ingredients came from frozen M&S Food, I'm definitely not buying them. While the croissant tasted decent, it is still not enough to cover the disappointment on the main dishes. Service was however good and prompt. Restaurant is spacious and a good place to chit chat.

So my daughter n I arrive at 7:50pm and even before our order is taken we are told by the server that the seating area closes at 8:30pm inspite of the café closing at 9pm as published. The coffee was awesome as usual but the jacket potato was not up to par just potato with cheese on top some not even heated enough to melt. When our bill was bought the same server reminded us that we need to vacate the area by 8:15-8:30pm bcos they have to clean n mop ??? I rechecked with the cashier and was rightfully informed I don't need to leave at 8:30 n can enjoy the rest of my coffee. Wish the servers were better trained on customer open times.

Very open space with little privacy, not very conducive for work or private discussions. Totally in love with the Magic Coffee. Smoked Salmon Toastie's not bad but might be good if could throw in some fries for the price. Some staff were not too friendly.

The scone set was ridiculously good value and the food prices are seriously reasonable. They were TWICE the size of the ones we got from TWG and half the price. The ginger and lemon tea was just OK though. Overall still a great and fuss free experience when you crave some scones

Dear M&S Café Manager,
I adore M&S—it’s a British institution. Which is why today’s experience was deeply disappointing.
After buying clothes and food, we sat down for a treat—tea and scones. The scones? Lovely. The jam and cream? Pathetic. And I mean blink-and-you-miss-it pathetic. Two scones, one thimble of jam, and cream so stingy it felt like it was being rationed.
I asked for more—and what happened? You charged me for another thimble of JAM and CREAM!
What’s the objective here—saving a few micro-pennies while alienating loyal customers? When I raised this at the till, I was met with blank stares - common sense clearly wasn’t on the menu.
Here’s a tip: teach your staff that customer service isn’t about squeezing every last drop of profit out of a pot of jam. It’s about making people feel welcome, not miserly. Because right now, your policy screams “Mean Scrooge” louder than a Christmas Carol. Merry Christmas - I won’t be visiting again.

Very disappointing service. We went there at 630pm and the place was just half full, with many customers sitting around with their laptops and phones. There were no indication that they will be leaving. Customers were waiting in queue but the staff refused to sit the customers in the other empty section, claiming that they are doing a clean up for pre closing. Reason cited that there is a lack of manpower. I can understand that there is a lack of manpower in F&B, however given the established brand of M&S, the service should have been better. Closing half of the restaurant 2.5 hours before actual closure is a bit too much, especially during dinner time. At the same time, we just needed a quick drink and bite and have to leave at 7pm. We spoke to the supervisor and reasoned out with her before she reluctantly let us into the empty section. Another set of customers also had the same frustrations. In fact, they were overcharged and the staff got their drinks order wrong. Even with the fumble, the server still wanted to serve the wrong drinks to the ladies which they insisted it was wrong order.
Hope the management can find a way to work around this as the M&S brand will continue to be impacted negatively with such delivery standards. This experience has left a distasteful impression of the M&S brand which I had high regard for. It is a pity indeed.

Expensive for what we got. A few items not available, strange when your own food section next to your cafe had the ingredients to make the unavailable items. Alcohol beverages were good value soft drinks expensive. Service was good and the two young ladies were busy but handled the crowd well. Didn’t get their names but hope they get some king of recognition. Was there 12 noon Thursday 17th April 2025. A manager on site would have provided much needed help and may have been able to fix the missing items situation.

Good place with great service for a coffee accompanied by say, a slice of 🧀 with friends. Convenient meeting point - access to NS line MRT & public parking lot just across Wheelock place.

Came by for lunch yesterday and tried the Chicken & Mushroom Pappardelle: $18. The meal was very filing and wholesome with garlic bread, pasta and salad. Chicken was tender and mushroom sauce was indeed very delicious. However, the salad could be better with slightly more dressing. The service could also be improved. My lunch partner and I ordered the same food. Hers came and mine was left sitting on the counter while 1 waitress was serving drinks to another table and 1 was just standing there. We had to inform them that there is 1 more set pending.
