Tucked away inside Lucky Plaza, Lucky Chicken Rice is one of those no-frills spots that focuses purely on doing the basics right. The chicken is tender and juicy, with smooth skin and a clean, comforting flavor that feels very classic. The rice is fragrant without being oily, and the chili sauce has a nice kick that complements the chicken well. It’s the kind of place locals keep coming back to, not flashy but consistently satisfying.
Portions are generous for the price, and service is quick, perfect if you’re in Orchard and want a proper meal without the fuss. It’s not trying to reinvent chicken rice — just serving an honest, well-executed plate that hits the spot every time. If you’re craving a simple, authentic Singaporean chicken rice experience, this place is IT!

I tried several places to eat chicken rice and finally I found this delicious place.
Juicy and tender steamed chicken & meaty and tender roasted chicken.
Rice was really flavorful and ginger sauce as well.
Service staff were very friendly and kind.
Only issue is payment was cash only but not big issue.

will come here to eat when i am in the area.
even after all the years, this place still offers one of the nicest chicken rice in the area. granted that there are quite a notable few along the orchard belt
chicken is fresh and tender and clean, rice is fluffy and flavourful, no issues with food quality at all.
there will be a lunch crowd queue during peak periods but they try their best to accomodate as many.
do note that this place accepts cash only so be cash ready.

Simple lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff, who patiently waited for our party to arrive before taking our food orders. The kids were happy with their canned Sprite and I had cold lime juice from their tank dispenser. We had a whole roast chicken with 3 plates of rice and a bowl of porridge as well as a plate of sprouts and a plate of spinach. We couldn’t finish it all so thankfully we were able to take away the leftovers for a token fee. A very convenient space for quick lunch. Do note you have to via cash only so have some on hand. Our meal cost $80 including the takeaway fee and an extra plate of rice to go.

Had this place saved for trying for a few years but never got around to trying it until only recently, and what a waste because the food is very nice.
We ordered half white and half roasted chicken, and the portion served seemed to add up to a whole. We also got vegetables, braised tofu and eggs to share. I also had to get a second bowl of rice halfway through because there was so much chicken, and I think the refill was much better because it was warmer. The staff also came around to refill the soup, which is the first for me at a chicken rice place. All in all, this meal was $48 for 3 of us.
I highly recommend giving the food here a try if you are in the area.
