La Way at Orchard Towers brings authentic Chinese mala cuisine and hotpot dining to Singapore's Orchard Road, specialising in Sichuan-style spicy dishes that deliver bold flavours and communal dining experiences. Located at #04-15/16 on the fourth floor, this restaurant offers extensive menu of mala hotpot and Chinese favourites in a hidden Orchard Tower location.
The restaurant specialises in mala hotpot – the numbing-spicy Sichuan hotpot experience featuring custom spice levels, diverse ingredient selections, and bubbling broths that cook fresh ingredients at the table. Their Chinese cuisine menu features popular dishes including chilli fried chicken cubes (辣子鸡), twice-cooked pork in spicy sauce (回锅肉), mapo tofu (麻婆豆腐), and hot and sour shredded potato (酸辣土豆丝).
Operating hours extend late – Monday 10:30am-12:30am and similar hours throughout the week – accommodating late-night diners seeking substantial meals after shopping, entertainment, or evening activities. The fourth-floor Orchard Towers location creates a hidden gem atmosphere, away from ground-floor bustle while remaining easily accessible via elevators.
For spice lovers and hotpot enthusiasts, La Way provides authentic mala experiences with customisable heat levels and traditional Chinese flavours. The communal nature of hotpot dining makes the restaurant ideal for groups, while the extensive menu ensures variety for return visits. The late-night hours and Orchard Road accessibility make La Way a destination for post-movie meals, late suppers, or anytime craving for bold Sichuan flavours.
Food: thanks for the food poisoning, SFA should shut you down. The taste is bland and uninteresting, any place can provide better quality food.
Service : unlike other place, this restaurant does not provide no condiments. When asked, they act like they don’t know what you’re talking about.
Price: this picture is 2 pax set, around $33. The sad part is with this price you get very little meat and frozen food, and tons of vegetables. I could say it’s borderline scam.

Not nice! Mala standard is very average! no different from hawker & more exp. peoples park mala is much better! Meats in the Chicken cubes is so small, more flour than meats.. Egg fried rice looks normal but surprisingly quite good, guess is the seasoning msg.

Humble mala hotpot shop located in Orcahrd Tower. They definitely can make the food more “ma” as this is too mild for my liking. Nonetheless I loved dining in here and the food. Loved that order is by portion and not by weight - which sometimes can feel like a scam

I like how they clearly state the price out of ingredients for you. The meat is nice with a good texture (ordered mutton and pork). I ordered medium spicy and it is very flavourful while not being too salty. The only thing I don’t like is the aircon is a bit weak haha. The person there is also very friendly

Ordered the signature dishes for 3 pax. Very good. For those who like spicy, ask for it. As it was our first time trying, we kept it normal - and it wasn't spicy enough - though the fragrance of the spices came through strong. Boss from Shenzhen is very friendly. Ordered from 1 unit (kitchen) and ate at another nicely furnished unit. Will be back.

Visited La Way on two occasions and my rating is based on the two.
For the first visit, I only ordered their mala xiangguo. It was a bit pricey compared to heartland coffee shops but the quality is really good. Meats and other ingredients taste fresh. Love the less oil and less salt option which I both selected and the dish was really light to my liking.
For my second visit, I ordered egg fried rice and la zi ji. For $9, I find the portion of the fried rice to be not worth the money (it's just rice, eggs and chives). It's a bit too oily too. The lzj was a major disappointment as the chicken pieces were coated in a thick flour and there were not that many actual chicken pieces. Didn't find it worth it for $20.
All in all, I'll skip the other dishes next time and will just order the mlxg.

This is my go-to for authentic Ma La Hot Pot. The flavor is perfectly balanced and truly hits the spot, making it my favorite in town—especially for delivery at night :)
