We gathered at La Taperia in Shaw Centre for a friend's 60th last Saturday. Good food is often about the company, but here, the plates hold their own.
We started with the Joselito ham and smoked anchovies on crystal bread. The flavours were on point and sharp. The suckling pig croquettes were rich and comforting, while the pan-seared octopus with aged balsamic was a particular standout.
The mains were a true feast. I enjoyed the grilled Boston lobster and the roasted European wild seabass, both handled with great care. The charcoal-grilled Wagyu rib-eye was superb and paired perfectly with the truffle reduction. The squid ink noodle paella brought a genuine bit of Barcelona to the table.
I finished with the baked berry crumble. It was a tangy, yet comforting end to a significant milestone.
Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. Kudos to manager Pankaj and Chef Wei Han for making our evening truly memorable! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The paella here is absolutely incredible, rich and creamy with perfectly cooked rice that soaks up all those amazing flavors. I also tried the potato chorizo and pork slices from the tapas menu, and they were both delicious and full of authentic Spanish flavor.
The sangria is very refreshing and has a citrus kick that goes down easily
What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere and service.
The live band creates such a warm, inviting vibe, and the lighting is spot-on – dim enough to feel intimate but bright enough to see your food. The service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive.
Whether you're looking for a romantic date spot or just a great meal with friends, this is the place. Highly recommend making a reservation – you won't regret it!

lovely little Spanish restaurant ❤️ seems to be very popular with singaporean families.
Paella was very good, although $44 for a 2 person portion was quite expensive. We added on starters as the portion wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, the gazpacho did not taste fresh to me. The croquette was very nice.
They are having an anniversary celebration till the end of October, which you can get $12 for a plate of paella (still same portioning). Just take note that this deal doesn’t apply for Fridays and Saturdays.

Came back for the amazing deal but we found out that we can only order one paella…. Food was still good though.

Visited La Taperia a few times for dinners, while today we tried out their lunch. Surprisingly the restaurants almost run to its full capacity fully even on a week day. Sign of popularity !! We started off with the signature tapas, the Garlic prawn & Jalapeno pepper were my favorite. We order the grilled Pulpo Octopus, presentation & taste were great but the texture was a little more chewy versus those I tried in Spanish restaurants in Europe before. We finish our lunch with the signature seafood Paella, very authentic, the moist level and the texture of the rice both well controlled. Atmospheres and decor of the restaurant were very authentic, really feel like being in Europe. Service was attentive and polite. One of the must visit Spanish restaurant in Singapore in heart of Orchard road.

We had their 12th yr anniversary dinner.
Awesome spread and reasonably priced.
They would ensure that you have finished your dish before bringing out the next.
Vibrant atmosphere. Great service.
Only thing is the spotlight shines on the diner. Could be glaring at times.

There is really nothing to complain about the food and service.
Flavorful, fresh and amazing dishes companied with splendid service.
The only scary part is the price point, the paella is $58 before tax. Tasty yes, good CP, hmm I am not sure.
But you will get good food and service.

First time here & the food was great... But portions were small considering the price.
We got the prawns & a serving of nicely toasted bread, a cheese potato pork thing (delicious!), paella & 2 drinks... Which came up to $142. The paella had a really nice umami flavour but it was too small a portion.

Nice cosy family dinner. They even offered a free birthday cake. Good service. Very reasonable pricing and the dishes are good. Will come again.

Lunch set is available on weekends too. The Ocean Trout Tartare was creamy and well-seasoned, while the Pan-Seared Norwegian Ocean Trout was fresh with perfectly crispy skin and a smooth mash base. The cheesecake was fresh with a rich depth of flavour. This was my first visit, and it was definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!

Chanced upon this restaurant as it was a last minute reservation. Standout dishes were the crispy black ink baby squid (soooo crispy), blue mussels (cooked to perfection that came with a tasty garlicky broth), roasted cod fish (so fresh and flaky) and the baked seasonal berries crumble (a dessert to die for). The gazpacho was also served in an interesting way though - first time seeing it in a small pitcher.
The service was extremely good and efficient. If I were to nitpick on something to be improved, it would be the acoustics of the interior. It could get a tad noisy/echoey but that could also be a plus to some - it heightens the atmosphere as if you’re in a rustic tapas bar in Spain.
Definitely a restaurant to visit again!
