Kimly Coffeeshop operates from Lucky Plaza, representing one outlet of a well-established local coffeeshop chain that has served Singapore for decades. The kopitiam format brings together multiple food stalls under one roof, offering diverse cuisines from traditional breakfast items to full meals throughout the day.
Coffeeshops like Kimly function as community gathering spaces where customers can enjoy affordable meals in casual settings. The model typically includes beverage stalls serving traditional kopi (coffee), teh (tea), and other drinks alongside food vendors offering local favourites such as chicken rice, char kway teow, laksa, and economical rice.
The Lucky Plaza location serves the building's diverse demographic, from office workers seeking quick lunches to shoppers taking meal breaks. Operating hours typically extend from early morning through evening, accommodating breakfast, lunch, and dinner crowds. The kopitiam environment encourages lingering, with customers often spending time beyond their meals for conversation and social interaction.
Kimly has built its brand on consistent quality and value pricing, competing effectively against hawker centres while offering the convenience of air-conditioned comfort and centralized locations within shopping centres. The chain's expansion across Singapore demonstrates the enduring appeal of the coffeeshop model even as dining trends evolve toward cafes and fast-casual concepts.
Positioned within Lucky Plaza, Kimly Coffeeshop provides a familiar, local dining option amidst the building's concentration of Filipino and Indonesian establishments, offering Singaporeans and others a taste of traditional kopitiam culture in the heart of Orchard Road.

A busy food court with many people eating at tables under colorful lights.
Went to order a tomyum fried rice at the fried rice stall during my working break, it usually took quite awhile for them to serve, which i don’t really mind. But what throws me off was that I ordered a tomyum fried rice, they served me an original fried rice. When I questioned them, they said what they served was indeed tomyum fried rice. Excuse me? Are they insulting my intelligence, or are they color blind? They can blatantly lied in your face and assume you had never eaten tomyum fried rice before when clearly there’s not even a hint of red on the rice! Terrible service! I also don’t get how they can serve my dish wrong when it wasn’t even peak period when I went there. Long waiting time and serving the wrong dish wasn’t what ticks me off, but lying to me straight in the face when clearly it isn’t the right dish was unacceptable! And it isn’t the first time they get my order wrong. Has gone there a few times already. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’m in a hurry to get back to work, I’d have had them to taste for themselves whether it’s tomyum fried rice or not. Pls don’t insult we consumer’s intelligence. Worst experience ever.

Write a new food court at lucky plaza 6th floor the well-lit space is a far cry from the dated stores all around the mall. I had a yong tau foo which surpassed my expectations the vegetable is crunchy, tofu is fresh. Service is great.
The food court is clean with a variety of stall options. Take the lift up if you want to avoid going up the escalator 6 times.

Big dining capacity, bright but tables aren't clean. Quite a variety of stalls to choose from.
Fish soup is good. Service is fast. 4* for fish soup, haven't try all stalls.
Will be good if they have someone going around to wipe d tables n remind diners about dining etiquette - many tend to hog seats n talk too loud.

It’s my second time here within a week and only here because of this Nasi Lemak Berlauk Melaka stall and tried both Ayam Goreng Berempah and Beef Rendang. The Beef Rendang in fact much better and not surprised if it’s also popular among those who come here for this food stall too. The Ayam Goreng was alright just. Caught by surprise is the drink stall where I bought my Chinese Tea and cost me $1.60? Sure is expensive to me compared to elsewhere. Anyway, I’m here for the food and needed a drink too. Orchard Road so Orchard Road price for Chinese Tea. I will still come back again for the Beef Rendang.
PS: Finally went back to Nasi Lemak Belauk Melaka stall on 10/9/24 and had my Beef Rendang! It made my evening and the rendang was so good and the beef was tender. This made my dinner truly enjoyable!

Yay, a new lunch place for office kakis in the Orchard road area! There are some Halal stalls here as well, which serve great variety and good food for our Muslim friends 😀

Space 🏬
Sufficient to cater multiple groups during peak hours, but the downside is 1 table is a right squeeze for 4 pax. You may rub shoulders with some strangers. But honestly, I'm just happy to find seats. Also. Ventilation is really good. Aircon is strong and new, so there is no grease stench after dining!
Food 🍜
The stores are packed quite tightly with each other to cater more variety, and display was very loud! We tried a good variety of different stalls, and it's a rather hit or miss. It's pretty clear what's good and what's not based on the queue. There are a few opening promotions, so do catch them while they are still available! I got my Nasi Ayam for about $6, which is quite a steal for its quality.
Facilities ♿️
There is a wheel chair ramp here to access different parts of the coffee shop. There is also a self return tray section & a sink with soap after eating.
Would come back here again to try other stalls!
