Kenny Rogers Roasters Express opened at 313@Somerset on 29 October 2024, bringing the beloved American restaurant chain's signature rotisserie chicken to Food Republic. This halal-certified outlet specialises in chicken roasted to perfection using a unique blend of herbs, spices and citrus.
The secret to Kenny Rogers Roasters' distinctive taste lies in their signature blend of lemon, ginger, sage and oregano, which seals the meat with flavour whilst keeping it succulent and tender. The rotisserie cooking method ensures even heat distribution, creating juicy interior meat with a flavourful exterior.
Popular combo meals feature quarter rotisserie chicken served with sides like mac and cheese and their signature corn muffin. The Express format maintains the quality that made Kenny Rogers Roasters famous whilst offering faster service suited to the food court environment. Each meal comes with their signature sauce, enhancing the already flavourful chicken.
Operating Monday through Sunday from 11am to 9:30pm at 313 Orchard Road, the outlet caters to both dine-in customers and those ordering through delivery platforms like Deliveroo and foodpanda. The nostalgic taste appeals to longtime fans whilst introducing new diners to the comforting flavours of rotisserie-roasted chicken that made Kenny Rogers Roasters a household name.
I wish I could get a refund. Skip this place. Chicken was cold, they don’t provide chili sauce, you have to wait 25 minute for your food.
When I sent back my chicken, all they did was put it in a microwave.
Staff seemed untrained and don’t know what they’re doing. Only 1 guy is trying to settle everything himself.
The only good thing is they have their own dedicated seats at this food court. No point spending $30 for 2 people at a foodcourt.

I ordered quarter chicken and was asked for additional $1 because they only have thigh part left - during lunch hours. I asked the guy why and what’s the difference. He said the thigh part is bigger. I felt scammed, Kenny Rogers shouldn’t charge the customers extra $1 for a “big” part of chicken. Look at their “big” thigh part chicken portion.

Okay first of all, why did it take so long?? Fish and chips? Seriously?
And since it looks heated up, why did it take sooo long for it to get hot
They gave us so little fries, and the corn as a side was microwaved
The fish wasn’t warm at all, couldn’t believe it.

Order 3 quarter meal and side give wrong for takeaway. The person taking order is slow and still can key in 1 wrong side and than pack another wrong side. Order potato salad give mash potato.
Mac and cheese taste so bad. Minimum cheese and taste like flour only.

Food was disgusting. Ordered the Kenny’s Quarter meal and the food was inedible to say the least. The chicken was very dry and way too salty. The macaroni was somewhat edible . The mashed potato was downright inedible. Extremely dry, worst I tasted in my life. The standard of the food Kenny Rogers Express at this outlet is downright horrible. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing and absolutely appalling the taste of the Chicken and the Mashed potato were. Kenny Rogers @313. Please increase your standard if you do not want to go out of business.

After years away, Kenny Rogers Roasters makes a return—this time as an express concept nested within the bustling food court of 313@Somerset. Naturally, curiosity (and a dash of nostalgia) drew me in for a revisit.
The chicken still form the heart of their offering. Visually, the golden-browned birds turning in the oven looked promising. I ordered the classic quarter chicken meal, which came with onion rings, mixed vegetables, their signature corn muffin, and a splash of bright red sauce on the side.
The chicken was adequately tender and mildly seasoned. It didn’t blow me away in terms of flavour depth, but it retained enough juiciness to be satisfying. The onion rings were crispy, though standard fare. The corn muffin brought back some memory—a touch of sweetness and crumbly texture, though noticeably smaller than I recall. The mixed vegetables were lightly sautéed but leaned a bit too much on the softer side.
What stood out most wasn’t the taste—it was the portion. Everything felt significantly scaled down compared to the Kenny Rogers of the past. While the express format may justify a more compact offering, it does leave one nostalgic for the more generous servings of yesteryear.
That said, the air-conditioned setting and casual vibe make it a comfortable stop for a quick and fuss-free meal in town. Just don’t walk in expecting the full-service Kenny Rogers of the old.
Verdict: A nostalgic revisit that delivers a decent meal, but the downsized portions and milder flavours mean it may not recapture the magic for everyone.

Went ard 9pm ++,on 16th May . Most stalls were preparing for closing, & not much choice, ended up we chose to eat at Kenny Rogers 313.
Even though it's almost closing time, but the staffs served us well & answer our queries.Good service from the guys and their manager, guessing from his black uniform. They did not rush us and we sat to have our dinner till past 10:30pm.
Blk pepper chicken was moist and the muffins awesome 👍First time trying it. Very friendly staffs. Thank you.

It’s quite a good value for quarter chicken and sides. Good thing is we can select breast piece or thigh meat. The chicken with the sauce is good, and chicken well cooked. The chicken with rice, flavouring maybe not as nice , because lack of sauce. Overall good options for lunch. Corn muffin is nice which is included

We are here again! Too bad their fish and chip weren't available today. Service was excellent. Nice and attentive team. Food was served right to our table.
