Had 1 Kakiin set and the Irish and Canadian oysters were fresh. The other dishes in the set were also good. Additionally ordered the chicken heart & I like it much. But the beef skirt recommended by chef didn’t quite suit my palate as it was quite tough for my liking. Fried oyster rice was yummy to end the course. Overall quite a nice dining experience even though we walked in randomly.

Good food and the oysters are so fresh! I do feel the prices are pretty high for the quality of the food but I still enjoyed most of the dishes. Oyster garlic fried rice was 👍👍👍

Quaint little izakaya that opens late, tried their uni, oyster garlic fried rice, hamachi sashimi and oysters.. overall flavours are robust and good. However exhaust in the restaurant can be improved, I’ve had smoke in my direction and walked out smelling like grease 😅 had to wash my hair twice Both Chef and the lady are very friendly. The bill that came was a little surprising.. I felt a little over priced based on overall food quality and experience.

Great casual izakaya vibes with kappo style dishes. Great quality produce, seasoned well. Try the ox tongue and oh ...The oysters were AMAZING. Good range of sake that's reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Note: booking essential and it's not a quiet place.

After a long trip to India, I was really craving something different, and Japanese cuisine felt like the perfect way to ease back in. On a whim, I made a last-minute reservation at this tiny spot with fewer than 15 seats. Somehow, I managed to grab the last two seats, which felt like a bit of luck on my side. The focus here is on teppanyaki, and honestly, the oyster fried rice was the perfect way to satisfy my carb cravings. The fried chicken gizzards were a surprise hit, especially when paired with sake. And the teppanyaki wagyu beef outskirts, garlic shrimps and Hokkaido Yongenton pork belly? Absolutely divine. They had a great selection of fresh oysters from Japan, Ireland, the USA, and New Zealand, so I couldn’t resist trying a few. I started with the scallop carpaccio topped with ikura, which was super refreshing, and the grilled eel with pickles added the perfect touch. One unexpected delight was the fig butter with crackers—it was so indulgent that I couldn’t stop myself from finishing it, even though I knew I should! We couldn’t resist ordering more, so the crab meat cream croquettes made their way to the table. I’m pretty sure I could have kept going with the sake, which was fantastic throughout the meal. And of course, I had to have the uni—there’s just no way I could visit a Japanese restaurant and not indulge. They served it in this beautiful multi-layered presentation, wrapped in seaweed, and the best part was devouring it in one bite. The night felt complete with such a great variety of sake and a warm, attentive host. It was the perfect first meal back!

We booked out the place for second seating for the night. Definitely a well worth experience. Fun times with whole bunch of friends and of course the chefs. Every single dish we had was awesome. Oysters were fresh, plump and juicy. Love the chicken liver, oysters fried rice, grilled prawns, kimchi fried rice, miso cod, pork belly and many more dishes I can’t remember. They have a good variety of sake options too.

Cosy great vibes and yummy food. Between the two of us, we have the starter set for one, garlic fried rice oyster, pork belly and caramelised apple with ricotta cheese to end off the meal on a sweet note. Will be back! Place is small, best to reserve

Haven’t been here for a while and glad that this withstood the test of time. Managed to walk-in for the first seating. Tried several dishes. Some dishes are really expensive for the portion served but they were yummy.

Food is definitely good and oysters are fresh. The dining experience is very much like a small izakaya in Japan. Its a small place and can probably only stay 10 people at 2 timings. Be patient as there is only 1 chef who prepares food 10 people. Portion are quite decent and most if not all of the dishes we ordered were good.
