We got the set meal for dinner. However, we couldn’t change out certain food dishes that some of us did not take due to personal preferences which meant some dishes went to waste.

Highly recommended to visit Hua Ting Restaurant for a pleasurable dining experience here. There are plenty of different food options to choose from ranging from different types of meats to seafood to vegetables. Tea choices were also great. The environment was peaceful and quiet with numerous private rooms, perfect for family gatherings or special occasions. The service of the staff was remarkable with extremely fast response , special thanks to Meng Chu for serving us and elevating our dining experience with a brief introduction to the background of each dish. Definitely will come back again for another meal.

Can’t believe this is a Michelin star restaurant. Service is not good…. Food presentation none….. whilst taste is not bad, it’s totally not worth to pay so much. Plain water I have to pay $2.50++ each… $9 for 3 pax!! PS: Just last night I went to Golden Peony, warm water was free! Service was great. Huge difference between the 2 Michelin star restaurants.

Mixed feelings… ordered the mixed platter (excellent), siew mai, radish cake, yam croquette, scallop noodles which were all good. BUT very disappointed with the xiao long bao. First tray that came … maybe we didn’t eat it immediately … the skin was stuck to the paper and broke apart and the precious broth flowed out! The manager kindly replaced with a new tray … this time we ate it immediately… but the skin was stuck to the paper again! Pretty disappointed 😢 Mixed feelings on service as well. Catherine who served us was excellent … the rest of the staff were not attentive and definitely not hospitality trained. There’s no prompt clearing away of dishes which I think is a min standard. All said, the experience is pleasant just because of an excellent staff. Well done, Catherine!

Update: went back in May 2025 and still deserve the 5star review. We had dim sum this time round, small desa sent pieces and of course the eefu noodles that my wife likes. Delicious Chinese cuisine. We ordered the set menu A for in room dining and they served it fresh to the room. The restaurant is quite famous with many accolades and currently they are selling rice dumplings for the upcoming festival. Hope that the restaurant will reopen soon and we can dine in.
