Ordered the Popiah from Auntie Jessie’s stall. It was horrible. Not only was it deflated and small (so much so they only managed to cut into 4 pieces instead of 5), it tasted bland and dry. There was hardly any black sauce, chilli sauce, coriander nor garlic taste in it. Truly disappointing, considering the food court is supposed to have a carefully curated range of food offerings.

Dropped by Hawkers Street @ Tangs while in Orchard because I was craving something local but didn’t feel like heading out to the heartlands. It’s nice that they’ve brought together some well-known hawker names into a clean, air-conditioned space right in town, super convenient if you just want a quick local fix. I ordered the infamous Ghim Moh Teochew Satay Beehoon, and honestly, it was the highlight of my meal. The satay sauce was thick, nutty, and full of flavor, not too sweet, not too salty, and it coated the beehoon and ingredients beautifully. Loved the mix of cockles, cuttlefish, and kang kong that gave it that authentic old-school taste. Can definitely see why this stall has such a strong following; it felt like comfort food done right. I also tried the Bergerdil (potato patty), but that was just okay. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, but flavor wise it felt a little flat compared to what I’ve had at traditional Malay stalls. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Overall, Hawkers Street @ Tangs is a convenient stop for local food in Orchard. For me, the satay beehoon alone makes it worth coming back. - went again to try Fei Fei WanTon noodles, one word BRILLIANTLY executed

Really impressed with the newly opened Food Street @ Tang Plaza basement. The variety of food and beverage outlets is fantastic, from well-known kopi, bakeries to popular hawker stalls, making the place lively and modern. The vibe is great, though it does get pretty crowded. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit—and I’ll be back again once the buzz settles a little (if it ever does!).

This is absolutely the best Foodcourt in town now, that's if you can even call it foodcourt. A food heaven rather. A little hard to find seats during lunch but otherwise it's just a magical food journey. Go in a group if you wanna try everything. Finally able to try Top 1 as the original beauty world stall has long queue... Didn't disappoint. Fei fei's roasted was really good too, don't have to travel to Jurong to eat it anymore. I will be back to try more!

Reached the new basement food court before 11am, and it was already jam-packed with people. I noticed that some tables were reserved for a media event. There seems to be a good selection of food, with a noticeable snaking queue for Tai Hwa Minced Pork Noodles at the end, so I decided to skip the wait. I went for the Loong Kee Yong Tau Foo stall instead, as it had a relatively shorter queue and a seemingly good write-up. Both the cashier lady and the chef were nice, but unfortunately, the food itself was underwhelming in terms of taste. I had the normal soup version, which was really bland. Some of the stuffed meat items were dry and lacked flavor too. For YTF in Orchard, this definitely isn’t the best choice. For a newly opened food court, the flooring was unpleasantly sticky. It wasn’t the dirty kind of sticky, but the constant squeaky, squelchy feel underfoot took away from the dining experience. I’ll return again in a few months once the hype dies down, and hopefully by then, they will have improved the flooring situation 😅

Did not have an overall good experience at this newly opened food court. The layout was very cramped but understandable as they try to squeeze more stalls & more seats in a prime location. We went after 2pm but it was still crowded. Avoid peak hours at all costs. Hard to find seats, be bold and ask to share tables. Some of the food stalls had long queues so we tried those with short or no queues. We tried the satay meehoon, portion was so miserably small compared to the stall photo image. It’s $7.50 with no prawns or cuttlefish, which will be $9.50. Taste is average, it’s not worth the price. We were still hungry. We tried the Rojak $6 & Taupok $5.80 and they were good, just a little pricey but worth it. We also tried the dessert - Cheng Tng & Green Bean Sweet Potato at $2.60 each - very good & very reasonable pricing. Definitely worth it. Will wait for the crowds to thin down before trying other food options at this food court. Promising but many areas of improvement needed.

Perhaps the highest concentration of Michelin hawkers at basement in Singapore. No need to argue about the food quality and Orchard pricing. Including the outside area, all the ones I like and crave are there. But who designed this place and the process flow? Just avoid the peak hours (Sunday evening included).

Food is great but not too sure about the way the tables are fitted. Best to avoid during lunch peak hours!
