I was craving “Siomay Bandung” and decided to give this stall a try based on the picture they displayed. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the photo or what I expected. The biggest disappointment was the peanut sauce—it was completely dry, lacking the rich, savory flavor you’d usually get from authentic siomay. The texture of the siomay was also far from ideal. Instead of the familiar fish cake taste, it was overwhelmed by tapioca starch. This definitely doesn’t deserve to be called Siomay Bandung. See my photo for the difference.

Disappointing experience. I find the restaurant is not very ethical in their presentation of food. The restaurant was re-branded from Surabaya to Gading Street Food. So I went down to try their monthly special "Gudeg Yogya". Check out the attached image for what is shown on their menu.
On the menu, it shows $7 for a plate of gudeg set menu, consists of rice, gudeg nangka, krecek, and egg. While paying, first surprise was.. I got to top-up $1.50 for the rice. Which I paid.
To my surprise, only later on I learned that the meal also doesn't include krecek. I got to top-up again for the krecek. So $7 was only just for what seems like pathetic 2 spoonfull of jackfruit and a boiled egg. That's it. What was shown on the menu, was totally different than the real meal. And I wasn't informed upon ordering about no krecek, only rice, jackfruit and egg... for $8.50.
After complaining the staffs were apologizing , asked me to come back and will give me extra portion of krecek. Which is weird. They returned me $3 after I asked cos I feel cheated. I don't get what I paid for. At that time, the overall experience has been very unpleasant. If the meal cost $10 then the restaurant should just put it as $10, rather than put it as $7 and then under-deliver. It makes customer feel cheated.

Hidden away in the bustling Lucky Plaza, Gading Street Food is a great place to find Indonesian food. Delicious food! And not to skip their "martabak manis" (Indonesian min chiang kueh). Available via online delivery too.

Served by a really nice lady who double checked my order as I got the bakso meatballs without vermicellia. Really huge juicy roundness which I gobbled down and forgot to take photos. Would really love to try the fish dumplings which were not available when I visited. Wide variety of pancake flavours many of which are tantalising unique combinations.

Not a lot of authentic Indonesian food options in Singapore, and this is one of the rare few places that hit the standard. Their Siomay Bandung is really good, and you can’t go wrong with their sinfully delicious martabak. But they’ve recently launched a new menu Beef Dendeng Lado + Rice and oh my goodness it is surpasses them all! Tastes like the ones you can get in streetside stalls in Indonesia. Tender, juicy savoury dendeng with a hint of sweetness and a punch of spice. Still tastes good even when refrigerated and eaten reheated the next day. Give it a try!

Give it 5 stars as the main course were so delicious. The ikan Bakar is nicely done with the kicap manis sauce. Ayam penyet is soft and tasty. Thank for serving us diff sambal as requested. We also ordered original martabak in advanced but the filling still abit bland.

A gem that located at 2nd floor of Lucky Plaza. It's Indonesian kind of stall (depot makan). Couple times we tried their food and we found that their ayam geprek with sambal bali / matah is the must have item when you're here. The price was justify the taste and amount of the food.
Their fried boneless chicken was nice, the fragant rice and everything was in generous portion. We tried their other sambal but nothing can beat their sambal bali, the rice vermicelli toward hot & strong white pepper-y smell and taste.
One of the same staffs couple times looked so unfriendly, maybe too tired after working long hour but wore a mask still couldn't hide the look. Since the person's working in service industry he needs to spread the joy, welcoming spirit and friendliness.
Since their sweet martabak is really sought after, it's better for you to order the sweet martabak in advance as they have a limited slot in a day.
