It is utter disappointment for the food served as compared to the last few years. Peking duck - unavailable, teochew cold crab - unavailable. What was most on theala-carte menu was unavailable, so we decided on the set menu (which cost about $200 per pax). To worsen things, food was bland, roasted duck from a coffeeshop may even taste better. Prawns used were frozen prawns. I didn't think it is right for consumers to paying premium price for frozen food. For tbose who are like us who wantec to enjoy the food for the good old times, please spend your money elsewhere.

Enjoyable dinner of delectable Cantonese and Teochew cuisine! The meal featured a fresh, beautifully steamed Teochew-style Pomfret and a delicious Pan-fried Wagyu Beef. There really is something for everyone at East Ocean. The Peking Duck was also a highlight, served classically with wraps, spring onions, and hoisin sauce, and their dim sum was great too!

Food this horrible should honestly come with a public service announcement. I ordered noodles and what arrived looked like the kitchen ran out of ideas, ingredients, and motivation all at the same time. A few sad beansprouts were tossed on top, almost as if someone thought, “This should distract them.” It did not. The dish was so shockingly plain that I genuinely wondered if I was part of some social experiment to test customer patience. If the goal was to serve the bare minimum required to technically call something “food,” then congratulations, they have achieved operational excellence in disappointment. I would not return, even in an absolute emergency. At this point, instant noodles at home offer a more inspiring culinary journey. Hard pass, and I strongly advise others to manage expectations accordingly.

Still as good as always. Weekend and public holidays you will get more special items. Most importantly price ia reasonably friendly. Only issue is peak hours on weekends, your queue will be less friendly so make sure you reserve in advance. Most items on basic dimsum cost less than 7 dollars a basket which is rare for this location and its reputation. They also handcraft some cute dimsum in animal forms like piggy custard bun etc. I quite like their style of serving palate cleanser in the form of chinese tea, allows you to feel refresh after the meal and also opens up your palate before the meal

This well maintained restaurant since the 90’s serve traditional Chinese cuisine with delightful familiar taste and the classics will never wrong. Price wise it’s on the rather expensive side but it’s understandable since it’s located right in the center of busy tourist area
