Denim D Artisan at 313 Somerset specializes in premium denim and Japanese selvedge jeans offering quality alternatives to mass-market denim through authentic construction, superior fabrics, and detailed craftsmanship. The shop serves denim enthusiasts who appreciate differences between cheap jeans and carefully constructed denim using traditional techniques and quality materials. Japanese selvedge denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms creating self-finished edges that won't unravel, represents premium denim category prized for quality, durability, and unique fading characteristics developing personalized wear patterns over time. The heavier weights, tighter weaves, and traditional dyeing methods create jeans that improve with age rather than deteriorating, developing character through wear. The selection includes various denim weights, fits, and washes from raw unwashed denim for purists wanting to create natural fading, to pre-washed options providing immediate wearability without break-in period. The fit variety accommodates different body types and style preferences from slim to relaxed cuts. Beyond jeans, the shop likely stocks denim jackets, shirts, and accessories completing denim wardrobes. The knowledgeable staff understand denim construction, Japanese denim mills, proper sizing, and care instructions that preserve denim quality and encourage optimal aging. The premium pricing reflects quality materials and construction that justify investment for those viewing jeans as long-term wardrobe staples rather than disposable fashion. For denim heads seeking authentic quality and fashion-conscious individuals appreciating superior craftsmanship, Denim D Artisan provides access to premium denim culture and products.

Bought a pair of Nudie Jeans at more than $200. Was told it will shrink by about 3% after first wash. Regrettably it actually shrunk by 20% or more after first wash. Brought it back to the shop to ask for resolutions but was told to wear for 6-8 months without washing to let it get back to shape. How can we do this in high humidity Singapore. Am really disappointed with this purchase :(

A few months ago, my dad bought a pair of jeans from them, he wore it a fair amount of times BUT never washed or did anything that's NOT meant to be done to the jeans. The jeans ripped quite a few weeks ago then he went to get it fixed, then ANOTHER SIDE of the jeans ripped, my dad had to go down again to request for a refund as it just seems like its a manufacturing problem. NOT A PROBLEM MY DAD MADE….But they only just offered a repair on the second tear and the staff said if you want a refund you have to email us..
Which I'm sure they are intentionally saying just to avoid/stall the problem. I emailed them and texted them on instagram to ask about the situation as this is ridiculous, outright scammy. To which they replied they have no control on how its worn and how they gotta forward this issue to nudie jeans and just asked me to wait for a response. 5 WEEKS + went by and no response… texted them asking for a status to which they just left it on read.
Then a THIRD tear happened while in the midst of the 5 weeks of waiting for a reply. I think this already guarantees it that its a problem on their side…
I think this brand or whatever has no respect for their customers, what do they mean by they have no control how its worn? I literally told them there’s no damage done intentionally or not from my dad, and I know he takes care of his jeans and they just like to act as if it’s not a problem on their end, HOW could a $200+ jean tear so many times???
I think this company or whatever is just blatantly making up really shit terms and rules for themselves to avoid these issues.

Very friendly and helpful staff. However, if you’re planning to get them to hem your jeans and know what length you want, I’d recommend sticking by it instead of listening to their recommendations.
I wanted my jeans shortened by 2.2 inches, and was later recommended 2.5 by the staff. Something went wrong along the way when they wanted the outseam measurements instead of simply how much to shorten it by (to be fair maybe with the third party they got to hem the jeans) but I ended up with 4.5+ inches lopped off in the end.
$30 well wasted & not even a refund from the store

My new Nudie jeans shrunk dramatically after their first wash, despite me following the store's advice. The staff told me they would shrink by about 3%, but they shrank by 20% or more. I had even listened to them on the sizing.

Denim D' Artisan & Denim Store customer service really downhill, don’t even want to listen to customer preference.
Not like the old days in Mandarin Gallery.
Won’t shop for Raw jeans with them anymore. Period

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand what I was looking for and recommended styles that matched both my fit preference and budget. I appreciated that they didn’t push for the most expensive options but instead focused on what would actually suit me best. thanks alot Ahmad and Tom!

Tom was an amazing guide for a denim newbie like me, and he is really helpful to help you find the right pair, especially if you have a type of look in mind, “try and feel the difference…” that is his advice. Also they have some crazy selections that are not available anywhere else in Singapore, do drop by for a consultation with any of their denim experts!
