We had a satisfying birthday meal at Crystal Jade Palace last week. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Some courses were so attractively presented they elicited a few wow's. Portion sizes overall were good, and the dishes were well seasoned and executed. Thank you, manager Jacky, Yoyo and in particular, supervisor Candy Jiang, for your friendly, attentive and detailed service! Some highlights: - crispy roast pork: nice crackling skin and despite the layer of fat, did not taste greasy. cute presentation! - ham sui gok (fried glutinous rice dumpling): juicy filling inside a chewy fried dough. lovely plating. - black truffle roast duck: generous truffle seasoning, aromatic and yummy. - steamed soon hock: nicely steamed, tender and tasty. - seafood mee sua: light but flavourful, with an unexpected layer of soft steamed goodness at the bottom that gives the dish good contrasting textures.

4.5/5 My family, along with our extended family, has frequented Crystal Jade Palace numerous times in the past, although it had been a while since our last visit. We returned a few months ago to celebrate my sibling's birthday. The food quality remained high, and the standards were consistently maintained. The dim sums and appetizer we ordered were all well executed and very delicious. The beggar chicken had a intense umami flavor and was very tasty and appetizing, though I am not really sure how an authentic version should taste like. The minced shrimp patties with crab roe was quite pleasing and the stir-fried French beans was flavourful. However, the baked live prawns with spring onion and ginger were disappointing. The dish had too much gravy, and the gravy tasted rather flat and insipid, without the expected flavors of spring onion and ginger. The fresh prawns were the only redeeming aspect, but I would rate this dish 2/5. The complimentary birthday buns were a thoughtful gesture from the restaurant.

This is probably the best dim sum restaurant in Singapore. Restaurant ambience, food quality, service are all good. Ordered lava bun, har gow, beef brisket noodles, rice roll, dumpling soup, char siew bun, deep fried eggplant with cereal. Most are so delicious esp the char siew bun, jar gow, and lava bun, except 1) the eggplant tastes just like any deep fried food 2) the cucumber pickle is really cucumber in some soy sauce 3) the brisket noodles can be abit more springy. Really like the aunties who served us as they are all so attentive and friendly. Lastly, the toilet is not up to par for such a nice restaurant. I have to go to the Takashimaya toilet instead. Nevertheless I’ll still go again for their food, IMO it’s the best dim sum restaurant in sg.

Family Dim Sum lunch at this long term Cantonese restaurant. Even so being part of a large chain, they convince with professionally prepared authentic food and traditional style service. Quality like this commands its price, so expect to pay well for it.

Arrived there at 6.00pm .. after shopping in the guardian.. I saw this restaurant in front of the drugstore. My stomach was growling asking to be fed. Decided to go in without reservation, and checked the menu. To me the food was so so ... average. I was expecting more than that actually. But it's okay, at least my tummy was happy. I ordered baked bbq pie and shrimp noodle. When i left the restaurant, the place was starting full, so it is recommended to make a reservation.

Crystal Jade Palace at Takashimaya is a well-established destination for upscale Cantonese dining in Orchard Road, combining refined cuisine with an elegant, contemporary setting. The restaurant underwent a major renovation that brightened the interiors, creating a more open and welcoming ambience while retaining a sense of sophistication. Known for its extensive menu, it features classic Cantonese favourites such as delicate dim sum, double-boiled soups, roast meats, claypot specialties, and a wide range of seafood dishes. Seasonal menus and festive offerings, such as rice dumplings or celebratory set menus, further add variety for returning diners. Guests often commend the quality and flavour of signature dishes, particularly the crisp roast meats and comforting soups, which showcase careful preparation and premium ingredients. Service is usually polished and professional, though some diners note occasional lapses during peak periods. Prices are on the higher side, which is expected for its prime location and refined dining style, but portions can sometimes feel modest relative to the cost. Despite this, Crystal Jade Palace remains a reliable choice for family gatherings, business entertaining, or special occasions, offering consistency, tradition, and an elevated experience that has kept it popular among both locals and visitors over the years.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to Crystal Jade at Takashimaya for dim sum and had such a wonderful experience! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highlights from our order: • Steamed Siew Mai – juicy and perfectly seasoned. • Fried Prawn Roll – crispy on the outside, packed with sweet prawn inside. • Shrimp Paste Wings – fragrant and so tasty. • Chicken & Duck Congee – smooth, comforting, and well-balanced. • And my personal favorite: the Steamed Carrot Cake – soft, savory, and simply delicious! The entire dim sum spread was incredibly satisfying, and the service crew were friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. We left happy and full, and will definitely be visiting again for another dim sum treat!

It has been a long time since I visited Crystal Palace. Service from Connie Lee and Wang Yan was great and friendly. We had a lovely lunch with laughter. Hard to come by staff making the extra effort to make customer comfortable. Food was also great as usual. Really liked the crispy fried eggplant.

Congee was the winner in our visit. Skip the brisket noodle; was a bit dry the day. Har gow shrimp was good but just fell apart.

This is one restaurant where the standard and quality of food is well maintained over the years. We went there for dinner, attracted by its SG60 promotion menu. We ordered - Palace Signature Starters, Hong Kong Kai Lan, Fish Maw Soup, Flower Crab served in 2 ways, Teochew Taro Paste Orh Nee and Superior Birds Nest Soup in Almond Cream. The servings are just nice for 2 people. I enjoyed their starters plate with 4 different varieties and HK Kai Lan. The dishes are flavourful and not too oily nor too salty. I supposed we went there early when not all tables are filled yet, the dishes we ordered come fast and service is impeccable. Worth a visit again. $$$
