Bought two sushi platters at the Nakajima Suisan counter inside Cold Storage before my meeting. I was there Monday, 7/21 at 11:45AM - 12:15PM.
This petite middle-aged lady manning the counter ignored my request for a saucer the first time and exclaimed “You haven’t paid!”, “ Yes I paid at the cashier before coming over”, “I need to see the receipt” — ofc I proceeded to give her the receipt for verification.
When I reiterated myself for a saucer she slammed it on the table with a condescending attitude. Meanwhile the Indonesian couple next to me who ordered less than me had her acting all chummy. All diners were offered a miso soup and hot tea except me. Bc I was kind and looked young? Absolutely uncalled for.
I’d love to know what I did wrong as a paying customer and if Nakajima Suisan at downtown Takashimaya hired F&B trained staff at all?

Bought groceries there and paid with a voucher but the cashier had a very bad attitude when I presented the voucher and was under the amount and I told her I wanted to get something to reach the amount she immediately told me off in a very harsh tone only 1.20 can you quickly go grab it as there are customers waiting and she cannot hold or void the bill. Their products had promotions I did not know so the price I calculated was wrong but cashier did not have to give such a tone to me just because I used a 50 dollar voucher. Never in my life have I encounter such a rude cashier in any grocery store. My encounter of this wan the 26 of aug at 12.22pm. If this is the standard of Takashimaya Cold Storage the standard has really dropped or may be it’s just cause I’m local and my money is not good enough.

Bought their roasted honey chicken steaks and pork belly from their cooked food counter today. Requested that the counter staff cut the steak into 6 pieces as we are eating as finger food, he refused claiming cannot cut so small pieces , in the end he only agree to cut to 4 pieces which were quite large to serve as finger food and i had to cut again.
Really wonder what's the difference in effort between 3 scissor cuts vs 5 . A few seconds more? Refuse to go the mile even when it doesnt take any extra effort. From the accent, he is obviously a Singaporean, probably lots of job openings around.
In terms of food quality, the roasted chicken and pork belly were extremely salty , no taste of any honey sweetness, did they even bother to use any honey?

Super bad customer service. I was trying to order the Christmas feast at the stall but there was no one manning it. Worker at the deli store was kind enough to help get someone. Hanging around the stall for 15-20mins and the store manager Beth came. Let her took the order for another customer who came in later then me while I waited. She brought the customer for payment and never came back! Went to the payment counter to have someone to get her out so that I can tell her that the service at this store is unacceptable

When we do go to Takashimaya or around the area, we always plan our lunch at Nakajima Suisan before our groceries run here at Cold Storage.
We love the fresh sashimi and sushi here. Prefer to choose uncut blocks of sashimi, they will cut it for you and present it on a bowl of fresh shredded daikon. The salmon/belly and swordfish sashimi are to die for! Super fresh and sweet tasting.
Service standard was basic, not rude nor friendly either. Definitely can be better.
Please keep up your quality and standards! Thank you for the great food.

I like this super market and often go on weekends: the saga beef here for hot pot and BBQ are nice, sushi from 築地 are delicious, I like Australia white peaches and Japanese strawberries in this Cold storage too - it’s much better quality than others : )

I recently shopped at Cold Storage and was impressed by the wide selection of organic produce. The store was clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what I needed. However, I found the prices to be a bit high compared to other grocery stores in the area. Overall, I would recommend Cold Storages for those who prioritize organic and natural foods.

A very good convenience store. The place is located on the B2 of the Takashimaya Department Store. The store is clean, well-lit, and well organized. The store has a self checkout system so you can just scan your products and then pay using your cards - it’s convenient and fast.
The store also sell fruits, biscuits, wine, delis, dairies, cleaning supplies, and other stuff.
