BreadTalk has established itself as a distinctive Singaporean bakery brand since 2000, gaining international recognition for its innovative approach to traditional baked goods. The chain is most famous for its signature Flosss bun – a soft, fluffy bun topped with savory pork floss that has become a cultural icon and must-try item for both locals and tourists visiting Orchard Road.
What sets BreadTalk apart from other bakeries is its creative fusion of Asian flavours with Western baking techniques. Beyond the legendary Flosss series, the bakery showcases an impressive selection of cakes, many inspired by Japanese-style patisserie with lighter, less sweet profiles that appeal to Asian palates. The display counters are consistently stocked with fresh offerings throughout the day, ensuring customers always find something warm from the oven.
The Orchard Road outlets, particularly those in prime locations like Wisma Atria and Paragon, serve as flagship destinations where the brand frequently introduces exclusive creations and seasonal specials. During festive periods like National Day, BreadTalk launches special editions such as the XO Durian Bun and unique layer cakes that generate considerable buzz among food enthusiasts.
For those on the go, BreadTalk offers convenient delivery through foodpanda, making their bestselling buns and cakes accessible across the island. Whether you are craving their classic pork floss buns, exploring new flavour combinations, or picking up a whole cake for celebrations, BreadTalk delivers consistent quality and innovation that has made it a household name in Singapore's bakery scene.

Don’t buy their Sakura theme products!
What usually bakers or cooks do for Sakura products, they add in Sakura leaves for the taste, some times Sakura resemble of Ume (plum, 梅) due to the ume vinegar used to pickle the flower or leave. Some may add cherry essence.
I bought 2 of these today, Sakura with plum cream, it’s so disgusting I threw away the one I ate half way and the other one that wasn’t open.
Here is what they do wrong:
1. There is no Sakura taste but 2 tough and dried 雞蛋糕 with pink colouring.
2. The cream is supposed to plum that I should be Ume but instead it’s Our local 酸梅粉 and it’s THE CREASY MARGERINE CREAM.
3. It’s tough and dried and left this 酸梅粉 taste in my mouth and doesn’t resemble of anything Sakura based on any Japanese sakura desserts, beside a picked Sakura flower on top.
Yet they are happily shouting out Sakura to fool the consumers. Don’t buy this because it’s full of trans fat - margarine.
There is a bakery hit the right spot with their Sakura products. It’s at the B1 of city hall’s raffles city mall.

There was a very strong perfume smell at the outlet. Bought $7 worth of bread here in the evening and all tasted straight up like perfume 🥲 had to throw everything away. …

Bought white toast bread here yesterday 040224. Pick up through food panda. Wasn't expecting to get bread best before 050224. Only last for 1 day?? Should have checked on the spot. Disappointed.

Today I bought a piece of shio pan and a piece of curry bun. Both tasted extremely bad. Wished I didn’t buy it.

I usually bought a Hotdog bun & floss bun at this outlet. The previous price was $4.30 for both buns. Today I bought the same item but the price went up to $4.60. Just a 1% GST increase and it causes 30 cents more. The size of the buns remains unchanged visually seeing. I felt that this is can not be accepted.

Thank god for returning the original tuna bun recipe here because the new format with a useless mayonnaise dot on top does not make sense. Please return this format at all branches
