Bodum at Ngee Ann City brings Danish-designed kitchenware to Singapore's premier shopping destination. Founded in 1944, Bodum has built a global reputation for innovative yet simple solutions for coffee and tea preparation, with the iconic French press remaining the brand's most famous invention—brewing methods that preserve the full flavour and aroma that paper filters often remove.
The Takashimaya location showcases Bodum's extensive product range beyond the legendary French press. Electric kettles with gooseneck spouts for precision pour-over coffee, double-wall glassware that keeps drinks hot or cold while remaining comfortable to hold, travel mugs for coffee on the go, and manual coffee grinders that allow precise control over grind size—all reflect Bodum's philosophy that good kitchen tools should be both functional and beautiful.
What makes Bodum distinctive is its commitment to simplicity without sacrificing quality. While competitors add unnecessary features and complex mechanisms, Bodum focuses on what actually matters: making better coffee and tea through design that respects ingredients. The aesthetic—clean lines, glass and stainless steel, minimal branding—appeals to consumers who prefer their kitchen tools to look as good as they perform.
For Singapore's growing community of coffee and tea enthusiasts, Bodum provides access to professional-grade equipment without commercial kitchen prices. The products are particularly suited to apartment living where space is at premium—each item serves multiple purposes without requiring specialised storage. The CHAMBORD French press, inspired by 1950s design, has become a design icon displayed in museums worldwide, yet remains accessible for home use.

My mum fell in love with this unique electric kettle design at first sight when she chanced upon it at Takashimaya's department store, B1 Level (Household Department). The product display shelf is near the escalator heading down to the carpark.

This small Bodum outfit is located inside Takashimaya departmental store. It's right by the escalator and next to the Bacha Coffee counter, and it's just a small little counter with their products on display. Try to find it or else do ask staff for directions.
The interesting thing is that if you're buying anything, you'll ask them for an invoice, go pay at the cashier, before coming back to collect your product, like every other brand here.
