Blue Bottle Coffee opened its first standalone café in Southeast Asia at Paragon Shopping Centre in July 2025, marking a significant milestone for the acclaimed American specialty coffee brand. Founded by James Freeman in Oakland, California in 2002, Blue Bottle built its reputation on a revolutionary yet simple philosophy: serving delicious coffee roasted fresh and brewed to order, sourced exclusively from the finest coffee farms worldwide.
The Paragon location represents Blue Bottle's second Singapore outlet following Raffles City, but holds the distinction of being their first standalone café in the region featuring both indoor and alfresco dining options. The 70-seater space showcases Blue Bottle's signature aesthetic with soothing terra cotta tones, warm oak elements, and sleek stainless steel accents that create an inviting environment for coffee appreciation. This thoughtful design reflects the brand's commitment to elevating the coffee experience beyond mere caffeine consumption into something approaching ritual.
The coffee menu features Blue Bottle's renowned offerings including meticulously crafted espresso-based drinks, precision pour-overs that highlight single-origin beans, refreshing cold brews, and the popular New Orleans-style iced coffee with its distinctive chicory notes. Each cup receives individual attention, with baristas executing proper brewing techniques that extract optimal flavour from carefully selected, freshly roasted beans. This dedication to craft and quality has earned Blue Bottle a devoted following among specialty coffee enthusiasts.
Beyond beverages, the Paragon café introduces exclusive food items not available at other Blue Bottle locations. The buttery Liège waffles, made fresh in-store for .50, provide the perfect accompaniment to coffee, whilst yogurt bowls at 2 offer lighter fare. The café continues Blue Bottle's partnership with Bakery Brera, presenting a selection of French viennoiseries including croissants and pastries that pair beautifully with coffee. Operating daily from 8am to 9pm at 290 Orchard Road, Blue Bottle Paragon serves shoppers, coffee aficionados, and anyone seeking exceptional specialty coffee in one of Singapore's most accessible locations. With plans to open over 10 additional Singapore cafés by 2027, Blue Bottle is clearly committed to growing its presence in the region.

Blue Bottle Coffee shop exterior at night with illuminated signage and interior visible.
Interior of a modern Blue Bottle Coffee shop with seating and a coffee bar.
There are barely any seats in the store, despite having a large table in the middle. Single customers hog tables with four chairs and refuse to leave after finishing their drinks. I don't understand why it's difficult to have more chairs and tables because the store is not that small. They don't serve you even if your order dine-in, so you're expected to either stand and drink while holding a cup and saucer, or push the heavy glass door to find an outdoor seat and risk spilling hot coffee all over yourself. The air con is very cold too. Staff are curt. The cup is tiny compared to other cafes. For $10 a drink, it's better to just go to Starbucks.

Was in Paragon, and needed a gd coffee.
And ordered their Americano for the 1st time.
Not cheap for the small portion, but it’s really good.
This coffee was strong, smooth and fragrant.
Unlike other coffee speciality cafes… where the latter long black are sourish or too mild (not robust enough) for my liking.
The only downside of this cafe is the indoor Aircon seating is very limited. And outdoor seating area can be still warm (given recent heatwave) even though it’s shaded with ceiling fans.

Blue bottle coffee is located at Paragon (previous Prive restaurant place) along the side of the shopping mall. The place is new and brightly lit. At 1pm+, there was a queue in the shop. The queue moved quite fast. Along the queue, there were merchandises to admire or consider. There only beans available was Three Africans. Ordered Drip Coffee with milk and costed $11 (pricey). If you like coffee with hint of lemon zest (brings out the acidity), perhaps this coffee is for you. The coffee smells great nonetheless.

Sipping coffee at Blue Bottle Singapore is more than just about the drink — it’s an experience. The space radiates calm, with a minimal design and warm atmosphere. The coffee itself is exceptional: smooth, aromatic, and brewed with great precision. On top of that, the service is attentive yet relaxed, with staff who are happy to guide you through the menu or recommend a brew style to match your mood. From ordering to serving, everything feels seamless, thoughtful, and welcoming.

Nice and chill coffee joint. Queue was long but moved pretty fast. Got my coffee in under 10 min. $8 for cappuccino and $8.50 for latte. Pretty ex.

Ordered a latte and the NOLA at Blue Bottle Coffee it tasted better than Starbucks. Price is about the same, but the quality feels higher. The atmosphere is simple and clean, though seating is limited. It seems more geared toward takeout, with a large open space in the middle of the store. A good spot if you’re grabbing coffee on the go, but not ideal if you’re looking to linger for long
