Classy bar, seems decent if you can catch their lunch deals. Decent casual date spot, but not really anything too fancy The Kubaneh bread was the true star of the show. Crust was crisp and perfectly warm, and inside was chewy and had amazing texture. Pasta was decent, got the laksa pasta and the mac and cheese. However steak was a tad disappointing. Tough even when medium. Apple spritz was not bad as well. Honestly i would just come back for the bread.

Most reviews here hit the spot, the bread is a must-order item. served hot and fluffy, it has a crisp shell and the bread is soft, buttery and so decadent. It pairs so well with the 2 kinds of butter served, and if you have any leftover, use them to level up the other dishes too. I say this because some of the other dishes can be quite plain, like the cauliflower. For the mains, pasta are a safe choice - the laksa was recommended but it didn't really do it for me. The taupok cubes reminded me of those found in meesiam, and the fish cake was too soft. Also, don't be fooled by the bottle of sparkling water set on the table - it's neither complimentary nor compulsory. They do serve tap, if paying for water is not your thing.

What we had 🍞 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐊𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝, $𝟏𝟒++ Their freshly made bread served with savoury konbu butter and garlic butter. Honestly, this is my fav dish here! 🤩 The bread is so soft and fluffy with slightly crispy exterior and pairs so well with the 2 types of butter, I couldn’t help but reach out for more slices! Must try if you visit here! 🍳 𝐎𝐮𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞, $𝟏𝟖++ Onsen egg with chopped asparagus, corn in savoury sauce. Probably better to have this with bread instead of on its own 🦐 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐣𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, $𝟏𝟖++ Prawns served with garlic infused olive oil and red pepper flakes. Felt the prawns could have been more tender 🥦 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, $𝟏𝟒++ Expected more cheese flavour here but it was mainly just sauteed cauliflower 🍝 𝐔𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚, $𝟑𝟐++ The uni flavour was sadly not prominent but the pasta still had seafood flavours from the crabmeat and ikura and was pretty creamy 🥩 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐮 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, $𝟑𝟎++ Tender and juicy wagyu slices served with red wine jus. The cherry tomatoes are pretty sweet and juicy too 😋 Drinks 🍋 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐳𝐳, $𝟏𝟐++ 🍓 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐳𝐳, $𝟏𝟐++ I had the raspberry fizz and it was pretty refreshing and tangy For more food reviews, follow me on IG: @dtfoodaffair :)

I like the concept of small plates and being able to choose between Asian or Western style cooking for the dishes. It's an interesting approach to be able to try different flavours and styles of cooking in one place. Flank steak - enjoyed everything on this plate except the mashed potato. Red wine jus was well done. Laksa linguine - Came with fishcake, prawns, quail eggs, taupok. Kubaneh bread - crusty, soft, warm. Kombu butter was the star. It's a causal cafe so the service level is also causal. Just because they're in Orchard, don't expect high level customer service or knowledge about the menu. Once you don't have this level of expectation, dining at Binary can be better with one eye closed.

My favourite was the Kubaneh bread! It was so good that we ordered another portion of it. Goes very well with the rest of the sauces from the other dishes. You can expect all the tapas dishes to be flavourful and yummy. Overall, a place with nice vibes and food. The service was excellent. Pearlynn, the manager, was friendly and recommended us great food choices. One thing to note, be sure to call and reserve for a high table if you want to enjoy the food comfortably.
