The Tom Yum Pasta delivers authentic Thai spice profiles in Italian format, while the Fish & Chips with Tom Yum Sauce reimagines British pub food through Southeast Asian flavor lenses. Creamy Smoked Duck Pasta has earned recognition as one of the market's most popular smoked duck dishes, and Salted Egg Popcorn Chicken ($11.90) exemplifies contemporary Singaporean flavor trends applied to Western-style preparations.

The best seller tom-yum pasta is an over-rated disappointment. All I can taste is saltiness which overpowered the tom-yum. Pasta is soggy, and ingredients doesn't seem to be fresh. And I waited 40mins for the pasta, they only serve after I checked with the service staff. Ultimate waste of time, money and calories.

pasta was slightly over al-dente, smoked duck cream was watery and a tad too sweet, tomyam was diluted and lacking punch as per previous reviews.
proteins wise, prawns were plastic-textured frozen prawns. chicken chop although a large piece, wasn't marinated well enough to cover the frozen chicken taste.
food quality apart, the wait was long as well considering the place was half empty when we came.
as they are running promos to reward 'good reviews', my advice for these establishments is to read reviews with a pinch salt

We dropped by for lunch and tried their signature Tom Yum Seafood Pasta and the Salted Egg Chicken Tom Yum Seafood Pasta since they were recommended as bestsellers. Sadly, the flavors didn’t really hit the mark for us — underwhelming overall. On the bright side, the ambience was nice.

Ok la.
Lots of clams.
Tom Yum sauce lacks punch. Feels diluted.
$20 for one Tom Yum Seafood Pasta, one hot tea and one very average, small mushroom soup.
Ok la.

We were really hungry and found this place on Google. Honestly, when we arrived, the restaurant turned out to be way better than how it looks in the photos. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was 5 stars. Highly recommended! We even posted photos before and after to prove just how tasty it was!

This is my honest review of 49 SEATS based on my very first experience.
The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was packed with flavor.
Portion sizes were generous, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality and service we received. What stood out even more was their truly lovely service. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was convenient and comfortable for the customers.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying and pleasant dining experience!

Lunch Set (11.30am to 5pm) - Starter, main dish and drinks - $17.90
1. Tom Yum Seafood Pasta
Visual: 4.5/5
Taste: 4.5/5
Creamy, spicy, and tangy — the taste and quality have been consistent for years. This is my go-to dish every time I’m here. I’ve tried tom yum pasta from other places, but this one’s my favorite. The amount of seafood is impressive too — I’m not even a big seafood fan, but I always manage to clean my plate. Chef’s kiss.
Nothing bad to say about it :)
2. Cheesy Chicken Chop
Visual: 4.5/5
Taste: 3.5/5
Generous portions — the plate was bigger than we expected! Lots of crispy fries and coleslaw to go around.
Unfortunately, the chicken sauce tasted more like pizza sauce, giving it a pizza-on-chicken vibe. It lacked depth and the “wow” factor was mostly from the portion size. We probably wouldn’t order this dish again.
3. Cheese fries (ala carte $9.90)

Looked awesome and tasty!
Best to share with more than two people — we couldn’t finish it all and appreciated that the restaurant was happy to provide takeaway boxes.
It’s a bit pricey, but when shared among a group, the cost is manageable. Plenty of sauce, both cheese and mayo — loved it!
TIP: Visit during their lunch hours for the set meal — it’s definitely worth the price then!

We came on a weekend and ordered the tom yum seafood pasta, the smoked duck aglio olio, and the salted egg popcorn chicken.
Food: the tom yum pasta was great. The spiciness is customizable, which adjusts the amount of chilli padi. We tried the 'bit more spicy' version and it was just about right. The aglio olio was sinfully good as well, on the oily side.
Service: After seating, order and pay at the counter before being served. Food came relatively quick.
Price: Objectively, on the higher end in price. However, it is relatively reasonable factoring the location and that there is no service charge.
Overall, I would recommend to try out when there are ongoing promos and discounts.

Coming back after 2 years, and I’m impressed — the taste is exactly how I remember it. The fish is still perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, the Tom yum sauce rich and flavorful, and the fries and salad complement the dish nicely. That mushrooms soup on the side adds a great balance. It’s comforting to know some places don’t change what already works so well. Just a heads-up: lunch set is Nets/PayNow only, no card accepted and order must go counter.
