A dance class in session at Converge Studios with many students practicing choreography.
Could the management please please purchase some air circulators in the classrooms? The rooms are always too warm especially the last class of the day 9.30pm always smells very bad 🫠
Love the instructors there they are passionate! Hope the management please take a look and fix the problem

I would give the teachers at Converge 10 stars, but after sampling other dance classes in Singapore, it's clear that Converge prioritizes profits over anything else because most classes are way too crowded.
However, most alarmingly, I find some classes to be quite cliquey with disrespectful students. I have been dancing since I was a child and I've never encountered anything like I've seen at Converge. Some students (usually the older ladies) would go super early, chope a bunch of spots for their friends, and even ask other students who are not in their friend group to move because that's "their friend's permanent spot." During class, they whisper a lot amongst themselves while pointing at the teacher, other students, etc. It's unacceptable. The fact that instructors don't do anything about this is also not ok. I've been to so many other studios in Singapore and frankly, Converge is one of the only few ones with this issue.
There has to be policies in place to prevent these things from happening. I hope Converge will take strict action against these issues because it's just not a conducive environment to be in.
Sadly, I will not be returning. If you're looking for a space to nurture your dance skills, there are far better studios to do that in Singapore.

I just tried my first lesson and to be honest it is horrible. The pace is super fast I got no idea what is happening.
I brought the 10 class package but I am sure I won't be attending anymore classes. And yes, there is no refund. Buy 1 class before you commit to 10 classes.

Contemp dance 1 - filled w students & choreo reflects that. Studio itself was filled to the brim, barely enough space to stand & warm up together, let alone learn the moves together. At the end, divided into groups of 4, & still just enough space to dance. Got kicked in head. Good instructor, but horrible admin. Much prefer THE dance classes. & more private too, this studio had glass windows for passers by to look in & take photos.

Took tap level 1 and beginner hip hop here. Just a newbie here but always an amazing session. Instructors are friendly and very helpful, really easy to pick up the dance moves.

Paid $45 for 5 sessions (student price). Took a popping basics class by Rachel 5 months ago at the TP branch. Was an absolute beginner and she was kind enough to take some time off the class to show me the moves and correct me. Would recommend for beginners that want to pick up dance!

I recently joined a Hip Hop Level 1 class at Converge Studio with Sabrina. It was my first time, but the studio was easy to find, just near Dhoby Ghaut MRT, thanks to their Instagram directions. The class was fun, with a spacious waiting area and mirrors. Despite being out of practice, the steps were easy to follow.

I have been attending classes here, and it has been great for workout. but not really for competitive dancing. also too many students in 1 class. pretty tiring to squeeze and express urself

I had my very first private dance class with Renee at Converge and it was such a great experience. She’s incredibly patient and took the time to break down each step clearly, which really helped me feel more confident. I also absolutely loved her energy – so warm, encouraging, and fun! Will be back!
