Sinpopo Brand Restaurant relocated from its beloved Katong roots to TANGS at Tang Plaza after a decade of success, bringing modern Singaporean and Peranakan cuisine to Orchard Road's second floor. The vintage décor featuring 1960s-era antique furniture creates a nostalgic ambiance that transports diners to Singapore's heritage past, perfectly complementing the menu that celebrates traditional recipes with contemporary presentations.
The restaurant showcases both "Katong Classics" that built Sinpopo's reputation and innovative new dishes that push Peranakan cuisine forward. The Signature Nasi Lemak stands as a fan favourite, elevating this breakfast staple with premium ingredients and careful execution. The Rojak Chicken demonstrates creative fusion, while traditional kuehs crafted from authentic recipes passed down through generations provide connections to Peranakan heritage. Desserts like Kueh Salat Cake and Gula Melaka Crème Brûlée reimagine traditional flavours in refined formats.
Dining options span casual à la carte meals to the evening buffet operating from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, alongside afternoon high tea sets that showcase both savoury bites and delicate pastries. The dedicated pastry counter allows shoppers to purchase Sinpopo's bestselling cakes and kuehs for takeaway, bringing a taste of heritage home. The strategic location beside the main escalator ensures visibility and convenience for TANGS shoppers.
Sinpopo Brand's commitment to preserving Singaporean culinary traditions while presenting them in upscale, contemporary settings has earned recognition as a destination for both nostalgic locals and curious visitors seeking authentic Peranakan flavours in refined surroundings.

Lunched here at Sinpopo Tangs with my sisters and niece and had a wonderful lunch which spilled over to teatime with coffee and cake! Food and desserts were all super delicious! Our lovely server Dini was such a pleasant young lady that made our afternoon extra special with her warm and genuine service. We were also impressed with the great service from Josh who gave us cake recommendations and took his time to share with us special promotions. Overall a fantastic experience and I’d definitely come back again!

Chanced upon this restaurant at tangs duirng shopping. Looks very new and the ambience is lovely. Food tastes really good, so sedap and flavourful. The rojak with calamari made me realise that squid can taste good with rojak, so unexpected. I had the beef rendang and it cane with all sorts of flavours - roasted coconut, ikan bilis, sambal ikan bilis, achar, blue pea rice, hae beehiam etc etc. So yummy! My friend has pomfret fish soup noodles and loved it too. Only gripe was the drink which was imho, too small for the price.

We came to Sinpopo for an early birthday celebration for my son, and it was such a wonderful experience! The Iconic Nasi Lemak Ala Carte Dinner Buffet (extended this September) is truly worth trying. The lemak rice was so fragrant and addictive, and the variety of dishes from sides to mains to desserts were all delicious. My personal favorites were the Angus Beef Cheek Rendang, Brinjal Belado, and the Sotong Bakar Belado. Only pity was that the satay was sold out during our visit.
The staff were extremely friendly and made the evening even more memorable by singing a birthday song for my boy. He was so happy, especially finishing a whole slice of pandan cheesecake by himself! As a parent, I also appreciated that they can separate the chili in some dishes so kids who don’t eat spicy can still enjoy the food.
Overall, a heartwarming dining experience with great service, cozy ambience, and food that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!
