TORI-Q at ION Orchard brings authentic Japanese yakitori culture to Singapore's bustling Orchard Road, offering quick, affordable, and delicious grilled skewers that have made this Japanese fast-casual chain a local favourite since 2000. Located at 300 Orchard Road in The Promenade near ION Orchard, TORI-Q specialises in the art of kushiyaki – the Japanese technique of skewering and grilling various ingredients over charcoal to create smoky, flavourful bites that capture the essence of Japanese izakaya dining in a fast-casual format perfect for Singapore's busy lifestyle. The menu features an extensive variety of yakitori options ranging from classic chicken favourites to more adventurous selections, all grilled to order and served with the quality and consistency that has kept customers coming back for over two decades.
What makes TORI-Q particularly special is the incredible variety and customisation available – customers can mix and match from over 20 different yakitori options including chicken with leek at .60, quail eggs at .50, the budget-friendly nitamago (Japanese braised egg) at .20, crispy chicken skin at .80, pork options like tontoro and pork with asparagus, and more exotic choices that appeal to adventurous eaters looking to expand their yakitori horizons. The value sets combining multiple skewers with rice starting around .60 make TORI-Q an accessible option for satisfying meals that don't compromise on quality or authenticity, while add-ons like gyoza at .30 for two pieces round out the meal with complementary flavours and textures. Despite the always-present crowds drawn by TORI-Q's reputation for quality and value, queues move quickly and efficiently, ensuring customers can get their yakitori fix without excessively long waits even during peak hours.
The location along Orchard Road's main shopping belt makes TORI-Q an incredibly convenient option for shoppers seeking a quick, satisfying meal between stores, office workers looking for a delicious lunch that's more interesting than typical fast food, and anyone craving authentic Japanese flavours without the higher prices of sit-down restaurants. TripAdvisor reviews from 2025 consistently rate TORI-Q as "delicious" and "must-eat food in Singapore," with particular praise for the freshness of the ingredients, the authenticity of the flavours, and the consistently high quality that keeps regulars coming back meal after meal. Whether you're a yakitori aficionado who's tried these grilled delights across Japan or someone discovering Japanese skewers for the first time, TORI-Q ION Orchard delivers the authentic flavours, quick service, affordable prices, and reliable quality that explain why this chain has remained a Singapore favourite for over 20 years.

I really like this Tori Q outlet at Ion Orchard because they have seating available and most of the time, it’s easy to find a spot. The queue can get long but since many people choose takeaway, seats usually free up quickly.
I also enjoy watching how they prepare the food, there’s a glass panel where you can see the staff grilling and cooking everything fresh. The ingredients always look clean and well-handled and the staff are polite and efficient. I usually ask for less rice since their portions are very generous and you even get 20 cents off when you do.
Today, I ordered the gyoza, jumbo sausage, chicken ball, and braised egg. Everything was served hot and freshly cooked. The gyoza had a nice crisp on the outside and was juicy inside. The jumbo sausage was smoky and flavourful. The chicken ball was tender and coated evenly in their signature sweet glaze and the braised egg was well-marinated without being too salty.
One thing I really appreciate about this outlet is how consistent the quality is. The food always tastes fresh, the grilling is done evenly every time and service is quick despite the long queues. The seating makes it much more convenient compared to other branches that are takeaway only so it’s a great spot if you prefer to sit down and enjoy your meal.

They do one thing and one thing only which is yakitori and they do it very well. The pork taste well balanced between the protein and the fat, the quail eggs is so divine and you can't go wrong with the chicken.. overall it's a good experience.

Great quality food for a very affordable price. The yakitori sticks are always so tasty and satisfying whenever I am hungry. I got two bento rice, one set B and one I customised myself. Set B is for chicken lovers, where it has a few sticks of tender chicken, chicken and green pepper, and my favourite - chicken ball. It had sufficient delicious sweet and savoury sauce, with moist rice (although could be less sticky, for my preference), and refreshing pickles on the side! For the customised rice set, I got pork, spicy chicken karage (with mayo is a must), chicken ball, and asparagus wrapped with pork belly. All were amazing together, would recommend eating here for a snack or for a full meal!
