Had a quick dinner. Dropped by Tonkichi around 7pm. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food were really good. Crispy on outside, juicy and tender inside. Goes well with the miso sauce, rice and cabbage. Will be back! Thank you

This establishment offers a pleasant ambiance for savoring authentic Japanese cuisine. The quality, presentation, and taste of the food were commendable, complemented by efficient service and minimal wait time. The atmosphere was serene, with a minimalist setting that fostered a peaceful environment. During my recent visit, I opted for the salmon teriyaki and cheese kasane katsu set, accompanied by a side order of soft shell crab. The portions were well-balanced, featuring an ideal ratio of meat and vegetables. The steamed pearl rice that further enhanced the dining experience is priced at $2.50 per bowl. I highly recommend this establishment for those seeking an authentic Japanese culinary experience. However, it is important to note that a significant portion of the menu consists of fried items. At the time of my visit, there were available seating options.

Repeat visit to this restaurant, trying out the chicken katsu. Service, presentation and deliciousness is spot-on.

The place is not too big, and it's always full. Luckily we don't need to wait too long for our table. The food is delicious. Love their chicken katsu, rosu katsu salmon teriyaki, and agedashi tofu. The ocha is free refill. One of our fave when visiting Singapore. Their service is quite good, they try to catch all the request although it was full house. The price is a little high but worth it.

My mom and I had a lovely Sunday lunch at Tonkichi. I’m already a fan of the restaurant but decided to bring my mom to try it out as she is a Tampopo fan instead. Sadly, I did not convert her to a Tonkichi fan but she still thoroughly enjoyed her meal. We got the Hire & Rosu Katsu Set to share and added on some sides (egg, soft shell crab & spinach). Portions were just nice for us small eaters. I felt that the other choices of meat were better but this set was good too.
