When confronted with missing hikes during the Mont Blanc trip in court, David gets 'creative'.
A one day hike from Chamonix to Christ-the-King statue in Les Houches sudddenly became 2 hikes! Since we passed by a viaduct, it is one hike.
From viaduct to Christ-the-King statue, it is another hike.
So....before you embark on any of his hiking trip, do make sure you clarify everything. Even down to where a hike begins & where it ends.
In writing if possible & get it signed.
After missing the scheduled train ride from Chamonix to the cable car to begin our hike, the organizer decided that we should walk to the cable car station. This 'walk' suddenly turned into a 'bonus hike' which we should be thankful for, he said. For he was showing us another scenic route & to enjoy the sound of rushing stream hiking along a sheltered footpath.
You can just tell he is a brilliant entrepreneur.
Enough is enough.

The Mont Blanc hiking trip was a great disappointment. Stay Geneva Ibis budget hotel for 1 night. Then next 5 nights at apartment whereby 6 ladies shared a 2 bedroom apartment with only 1 toilet!!?? 2 ladies sleeping at living room on a sofa bed. We paid over 2.5k for the trip excluding air ticket and all meals. We took public transport which is mostly free with hotel and apartment stays in Geneva and Chamonix. Hiking with only 1 person to take care of 14 hikers??!! Hikes are at times dangerous and seriously not for inepexerienced hikers!!

My hiking buddies and I had a horrible experience hiking tour with TLC Adventure Pte Ltd, whereby the organizer, David Lim, and his assistant, Ivy, for their careless acts that led to three of us getting lost in the forest on June 24, 2023, at about 3.26 PM in Bukit Payung, Malaysia.
This incident took place after leaving Bukit Payung's fourth peak and moving towards Bukit Botak for the last peak, we were not told there was a cross junction and at the crossroads, the assistance lead, Ivy, had lost us without sweeping through the hikers in her wave and had not given any indications to turn. We were found to be lost until we came across a farmer, who informed us that he had not seen a group of hikers pass by when we inquired about it.
We immediately called Ivy to inform her that we had lost our way, and she directed us to the organizer, David who gave us the instructions to remain in place until he could send a guide to lead us back, this kept us for almost 1.5 hours.
Lately, he then instructed us to use our GPS and walk to the main road by ourselves. We were dissatisfied with David's handling of the situation, and he and Ivy failed to keep the clients safe; furthermore, he keeps blaming us for not following the instructions.
Based on professionalism as a standard and safety laws and regulations as a guide, David and Ivy failed to bring their clients up to the required safety standards. Sharing this information to keep the travelers informed before signing up for his tours. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Last week, I just won my small claim tribunal case for my Mont Blanc hike in August 2023 and the judge ordered TLC to pay me a sum of money. My fellow trip mate won her case too last month but TLC defaulted on payment. This is how dishonest TLC David Lim was. The Mont Blanc trip was a disaster. Travel with TLC David Lim at your own risk.

Just returned from the Amazing Caucasus trip, my first time with TLC. Loved every minute! We saw and did so much, from stunning scenery and cultural visits, to hiking and nightlife! The group were so friendly, the food and hotels mostly very good and David, the tour guide, always positive and energetic. Plus excellent country guides. Only downside, I was completely shattered at the end cos the programme was so packed, though plenty of time to relax/sleep while travelling long distances on the coach - but I didn't do this! Such a fascinating part of the world, cannot wait to return! Inspired to travel with TLC againđ.

Unforgettable Japan: A Journey Through Osaka, Kumano, and the Heart of Kyushu with Travel Leisure Care (TLC) Adventures.
Our recent trip to Japan in March- April 2025 took us on an extraordinary pathâone that led far beyond the usual tourist trails, deep into the soul of the country. From the bustling streets of Osaka to the sacred mountains of Kumano and the scenic wonders of Kyushu, every moment was filled with awe, discovery, and connection.
Kumano: A Trail of Beauty and Inner Strength
The trek through the Kumano Kodo was both the most challenging and the most rewarding part of our journey. As beginners, we were pushed out of our comfort zonesâsteep inclines, uneven stone steps, and long stretches through dense forest tested our stamina. But every drop of sweat was worth it.
The trail itself was breathtakingâancient paths carpeted in soft moss, framed by towering cedar and cypress trees, and the occasional break in the foliage revealed sweeping views of mist-shrouded valleys. We passed centuries-old shrines, gentle waterfalls, and quiet prayer spots that seemed untouched by time. The silence of the forest was profound, only broken by the distant sound of birds and the crunch of leaves underfoot. It felt like walking through a living, breathing museum of spirituality and nature.
We made time to soak in onsen, where the hot mineral waters melted away the fatigue from our hikes. Whether it was a rustic outdoor bath nestled in the mountains or a quaint traditional inn, the onsen experience brought peace and rejuvenation.
Kyushu: Road Trip Bliss Under the Cherry Blossoms
Our road trip through Kyushu was like stepping into a postcard. We timed it just rightâsakura were in full bloom, painting the landscape with soft pinks and whites. Every roadside stop became a photo opportunity, every breeze a gentle reminder of natureâs fleeting beauty.
A Feast for the Senses
Food was another highlightâJapanâs culinary diversity never disappointed. From the rich, creamy tonkotsu ramen of Fukuoka to delicate kaiseki meals, sizzling yakitori, melt-in-your-mouth sushi, and quirky local snacks from roadside stallsâwe tasted it all. Each region brought its own flavors, and every meal was a celebration of local culture.
What made this trip even more special was that we were exploring routes untouched by tour groups, giving us the luxury of solitude and the thrill of genuine adventure.
Connections That Made the Journey Whole
What also truly elevated this trip was the people. We had the opportunity to travel with a diverse group of participants, each with their own backgrounds, stories, and perspectives. As the days passed, we shared not just paths and meals, but also laughter, struggles, and reflections.
There was a real sense of camaraderie, forged over shared challenges and countless conversations. We discovered quirky personalities, unexpected talents, and memorable idiosyncrasies that made our group dynamic lively and endearing. Bonds were formed that felt deeper than the days we spent togetherâa reminder of the beautiful unpredictability of human connection.

Final Thoughts
This was more than a trip; it was an experience that stirred the soul. We walked sacred trails, bathed under cherry blossoms, feasted like locals, and left with full hearts and lifelong friendships. For anyone seeking something off the beaten pathâa journey into Japanâs quiet magic and the depths of human connectionâthis is the one.

My 1st trip with TLC Adventure to "Spectacular Szechuan".
If you are on to adventure, hiking and fun, this tour is really fit for you.
We get to enjoy snow-capped mountains, crystal clear rivers, blue skies and vibrant meadows - a fairy tale in autumn.
Everything was well planned. The local guide was knowledgeable, well versed in English and genuinely keen to share the history and significance of each scenic location.
What an incredible and mesmerising experience we had. Definitely a highly recommended trip.

Tanzania Safari - FEB 2025
Just returned from TLC's inaugural safari to Tanzania.
Although it is only a 6 days (actual land days) tour, it is plenty enough as we had the opportunity to see more than 20 wild animals and more than 20 specie of birds. Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, cape buffalo & lion) all ticked off.
Very well organised as we had the experience of great service at Queen's Camp, Serengeti as well as the skills (driving asnd locating wild animals) of our 2 safari drivers. Each safari car takes 6 persons ie 3 on either side and therefore greater visibility.
Although this was my 2nd safari trip, I enjoyed every moment of it - from the way the tour was curated, great joy to be on safari again, the wide variety of animals/mammals and most importantly the company of wonderful co-travellers.
If you are still hesitating, don't wait. Be adventurous, it is an experience of a lifetime. I already have 3 enquiries from friends who are now keen for such a trip.
Very happy to recommend this trip - you will not regret going.

December 2024: I recently returned from a magical holiday organized by TLC Adventure Tours Pte Ltd, exploring the enchanting Christmas Markets in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria with my wife. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary!
The itinerary crafted by Mr. David, the owner, was uniquely curated and perfectly balanced. His personal touch was evident throughout the journey, as he ensured that every detail was meticulously attended to, making our trip comfortable and hassle-free. We were delighted to discover off-the-beaten-path locations that allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the festive spirit before the crowds arrived.
David's enthusiasm was infectious, and he was always ready to help us capture beautiful couple photos, making sure we had plenty of memories to cherish. We also made wonderful new friends along the way, enhancing our experience even further.
Overall, this trip was truly unforgettable, and I can't recommend TLC Adventure Tours enough. If you're looking for a well-organized, heartfelt adventure, this is the tour for you! Thank you, David, for an incredible holiday!
