I have been to Tipo, but never left as disappointed as this visit. I was here on a Friday dinner, was directed to a window seat which was awesome. The disappointment was the menu. There were no sides available, all sold out. There were no salads too. No desserts. Nothing available for anything associated with salmon. All sold out. 2 out of 3 pasta choice were available. The third one was of course sold out. So it is quite pathetic to just have a pasta without anything else. It left me still hungry. I am not even here after the peak hours, I was there at 7pm before the restaurant was full afterwards. And the service was so slow even when there was not even a lot of different food for the kitchen to prepare.

Had an amazing experience at Tipo! The service was top-notch — Amelia, Siti, and Azfar were absolutely spectacular. Super friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. Everything came out fast and they made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Huge compliments to the team for their energy and professionalism! Definitely coming back again.

I had one of the most memorable dining experiences here. The freshly handcrafted pasta was an absolute revelation :silky, al dente, and infused with flavour in every bite. My truffle cream pasta was divine and rich yet balanced, with earthy notes that lingered beautifully. Every plate was not only delicious but artfully presented, reflecting the chefs’ dedication and finesse. Did i mention about the Pear Salad now?
What I loved most was the “build-your-own pasta” concept is so fun and personal! Each combination that came to our table looked like a masterpiece, and everyone at our party couldn’t stop sharing bites across plates. Every sauce, every garnish, every texture, perfectly harmonised.

Tipo has that rare balance of being classy yet cosy. The warm lighting, rustic interiors, and gentle buzz create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and refined. The service team Zack & Estelle was exceptional friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They made us feel truly welcomed and valued from start to finish. Best of all when 4 besties meet, the ambience became like our own home!!! If you know us, uou know what I mean! Lols!! Thank you Zack & Estelle for allowing us to feel at HOME!!!
🍰 Sweet Endings
We ended with their signature tiramisu, and it was pure bliss! Soft, creamy, with just the right touch of espresso. The kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes and smile after the first spoonful. We were kinda bantering among each on who to have the last bite!!

Food is not bad though some of our pasta is slightly undercooked.
Service- 2 staff on a Thurs night, it's not very crowded but their Service lack attentiveness.
Atmosphere and decor is nice though music is too loud. Also we were struggling dispensing the salt and pepper left on every table. When we approached the staff we were shocked that they told us that it's only for table decor and handed us a saucer of black pepper.

Had dinner at Tipo and the service was honestly so good. Azfar and Viknesh took great care of us the whole time. They’re super friendly, attentive and accomodating.
Food was great, vibes were nice, and the service made it even better. Will definitely come back!

Food-wise, I ordered the Puttanesca pasta, which should include anchovies. However, I couldn’t see them in the dish at all. If they were blended into the sauce, it wasn’t apparent. The dish ended up looking more like a vegan pasta. The saving grace was that the texture was al dente.
I also tried to use a Tipo gift card during payment but was told it couldn’t be used at this outlet. There was no mention of this restriction in the gift card’s terms and conditions. The staff could only list other outlets (Aliwal, Waterloo and Novena) where it could be used, which made the policy feel unclear and poorly communicated.
I later emailed to seek clarification but did not receive any response. Overall, if issues arise during your visit, it may be difficult to reach the team for follow-up or resolution.

pasta was so yummy and nice! friendly staff Amelia, Siti & Azfar attended to us and were always smiley! drinks wise just a small comment on the hot chocolate that it was not that hot and a little too milky. nevertheless the whole experience was great and will come back again :)

You can choose from 3 different type of noodles (they provide it the raw ones on the table before ordering via qr).
Had rose duck with chili flakes & extra spinach. The smoked duck was so plump & tender, the rose sauce was creamy but light and tangy. The noodles are definitely al dente so every bite was perfect. Ice tea was a little too pricey imo ($7).

I had an amazing experience at Tipo Pasta Bar! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was cooked to perfection with so much flavour and freshness. Big compliments to Chef Hilman for the incredible pasta and attention to detail.
The service was equally outstanding — Zak and Siti made the dining experience so warm and welcoming. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great pasta and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon! 🍝✨
