Nice place to catch a movie but do not choose seats near the back doors as the staff would enter via the back entrance and keep the door open even before the movie ends based on my experience there. The light from outside affected my experience of watching the movie especially the last 20 minutes which were supposed to be the highlight of the movie.
Also, do note the updated opening hours before making your way here.

I was at Cathay Cineplex, Handy Road, yesterday, 21/2/22 to watch Ah Girls Go Army at 4.45pm. At 4.40pm, the theatre was still totally dark with no one around. I thought it would be nice if some floor lighting could be provided for patrons to find their seats. Had to use my hp for this purpose but its not efficient. Other than this issue, all were fine. Nice seats, clean floor, comfortable air conditioning and nice show too.

Room for improvement. Perhaps to spruce up the movie halls.

absolutely HORRID experience here. the management was terrible, one of the managers had an attitude with me. it was not covid protective friendly at all. i wish i could rate it lower stars. I was confused about something with my ticket since it is was my first time, and i was asking a lot of questions to a manager and the manager had the audacity to raise her voice at me. I am not from this country so i am very anxious with things and it felt very racially motivated. And lastly the staff DOESN'T WEAR GLOVES WHEN SERVING FOOD. i nearly gagged at the site. i cant believe there is not more bad reviews its probably their workers covering up the bad experiences. (it is also freezing cold i think it gave me a sickness, wear a jacket and scarf if after that you are still considering)

Ticketing booth is at level 5 and all the halls are located at level 6. Cinema are generally clean. Couple seat are comfortable and slightly spacious. The leg space is wide enough for people to walk pass without making yourself too uncomfortable by just giving them some leg space to move through

One of the best maintained cinema houses in singapore with many screens and lots of space to mingle around in case you want to enjoy the ambiance . The place has improved quite a bit with several restaurant and coffee options before and after the movie . The only problem is the prices for tickets r quite high and the eats n drinks are also quite expensive too.... paid $8 for a packet of popcorn well that is really high i think they should think about this things a little bit more and also the situation we are in a can't blame them but it is quite pricey. I watched the bond movie no time to die so i'm not complaining

If you ever come here, make sure to take a winter jacket, a hat and some gloves.
Been here twice and took some warm clothing the second time and it still wasn't enough.
The AC completely freezes the room down to at least 12 C. Your hands, legs, ears and nose all get so cold that it actually becomes painful.
This is by far the coldest cinema I've even been to.

It was good cinematic experience watching movie in Cathay , seating is comfortable when compared to GV.. Snacks options aren't much when compared to Shaw or GV. Great Sound system and larger screen.

Last day of operations falls on 26 June (Sunday) - would definitely miss this place! Pretty huge premises given that it occupies the top 2 floors of the mall. Long queues on weekends but the staff are generally still friendly when attending to movie-goers.
Saw that there were some companies that brought their staff to watch a movie during the last 2 weekend.
Thank you for the memories!
