The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. at ION Orchard represents Singapore's heritage tea brand with a history dating back to the colonial era when tea clippers sailed from China to Singapore, bringing the finest teas to merchants and traders. Named after the year that marked the beginning of Singapore's tea trading heritage, the brand combines traditional tea knowledge with contemporary blends that cater to modern tastes, offering Singaporean tea drinkers a connection to the nation's history through every cup.
The boutique features an extensive collection of teas including single-origin varieties from premier tea-growing regions, signature blends created exclusively for the Singapore market, and flavoured teas that add contemporary twists to traditional brewing. Beyond loose leaf teas, the brand offers tea accessories and gift sets that make perfect presents for tea enthusiasts, while the knowledgeable staff provide guidance on brewing methods and flavour profiles to help customers discover teas suited to their preferences.
The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.'s presence at ION Orchard creates a bridge between Singapore's past as a major trading port and its present as a cosmopolitan city that appreciates quality food and beverages. The store serves as both retailer and educator, helping customers understand the differences between tea varieties and brewing techniques while preserving the traditions that make tea drinking one of the world's most enduring rituals.

Ordered Shibuya Tea where description says with notes of honey and oak. Tasted exactly like a Lipton black tea. Ordered dine in but was served in a small takeaway cup with no presence of tea bags or tea leaves.

Immensely disappointed in this store. Ordered grab food order and waited for around 30 minutes all along it mentioned the order was being prepared. However when the delivery rider reached the store, turns out the store was already closed.
Not sure why they put the store as still open and that they accepted my order.
Wanted to go to their physical store to try their food previously. After this experience not gonna even bother anymore.

So disappointed with the service I received on 21 Aug at Jewel outlet at around 830pm . We were served by one Chinese and Indian staff. Your Indian staff’s attitude was really bad . When your Chinese didn’t make the coffee properly , your Indian staff trying to close the cover, and said in a bad way: is like that lah! The first cup they made didn’t close the cover. We didn’t receive any simple “sorry” but the bad attitude .

Their cold brew teas and cream puffs are quite amazing. Early grey and milk tea hit the spot. A random encounter but customer for life. I will she sharing the teas and cream puffs with many friends. Nice quick spot to rest and recharge before more walking and/or shopping ! Enjoy !

We ordered all four flavors of the cream puffs and particularly enjoyed the Earl Grey and Milk cream puff. The sweetness was well balanced, and the crispy shell added a delightful texture. However, the Eternal Garden cream puff had a somewhat artificial taste. The Chelsea Earl Grey tea was fragrant, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The number of seats are limited so dining in during peak hours may be challenging.

the hot matcha latte was really enjoyable and affordably priced ! the matcha itself was thick, slightly bitter and not astringent. i have tried lattes from many places locally and this place ranks highly. the male barista who made my drink today was friendly and sincere, and it added to the overall good experience :)

The store sells a variety of their products and you can also have some of their teas as well as their concocted drinks in-store.
The Kowloon tea latte was excellent — it is really reminiscent of the classic milk teas, but with a more robust tea flavor.
The Yuan Yang was also good — it had a good balance of tea and coffee with a slight stronger tea flavor.
There is also a variety of herbal teas, with various herb mixes depending on your preference. The one like Healing Garden was enjoyable.

A nice cosy escape for a decent brewed cuppa tea Amidst the hustle of B4 Ion Orchard.
The staff are nice and friendly, they have a courtesy 45min dining notice although it's not enforced if there is no line for dine in.
It's comfortable with 2 sets of 4 seats and a "bar" seating 2.
Most teas are fresh brewed and they keep the place nice and clean.
Interesting selection of cold brew introduced although the tea equipment is a tad pricey.
