Served by a Mr. John Ting. Very patient and excellent customer service. Was able to ensure that I got what I wanted even though it took a while and even went beyond to contact Oakley regarding the cleaning of my current spectacles when I requested. Pleasant experience.

Dropped by to adjust my frame since I happened to pass by. Male staff was not friendly / helpful. Adjusted but did not bother to help to clean my spectacles. Tried to make some enquiries but the response was cold. Bear in mind that you are working as a frontline staff and in sales. Do not be racist or selective when serving. This happened on 23 November 2024. Unfortunately, you have lost a customer.

I had a very poor experience with Spectacle hut recently. I strongly do not recommend spectacle hut as they are unprofessional, unempathetic and very sacarstic. I have been a regular customer of them for many years but my recent experience especially with takashimaya spectacle hut really was off putting. I was actually diagnosed with an auto immune disease, sjorgens syndrome few years ago. This disease affects my eyes especially henceforth my eye specialist recommended me to change to daily contact lens. I bought many boxes of acuvue daily lens from spectacle hut. however, sometimes depending on my eye condition, the lens become uncomfortable hence I kept throwing them away. Recently, I went back to spectacle hut takashimaya to request if I could get a few pieces of trial lens from another brand like Bausch and Lomb to see if a new brand could suit my eyes better. The sales guy named John Spectacle hut taka initially said "okay". He would get the optometrist to check my eyes and dispense some Bausch and Lomb trial lens for me. However, the next day, this sales staff Gwen Toh called me back and told me a different story that they are unable to provide me free trial lens UNLESS I bought from them the brand. I explained nicely to her that I had auto immune disease which affected my eyes henceforth I did not want to throw the lens away if they were found to be uncomfortable for my eyes. Gwen Toh's attitude was very unsympathetic and rather indifferent when I mentioned that. She continued to push me to purchase the lens first and kept insisting that's the SOP from Bausch and Lomb and that they DO not give out trial lens. We continued with an unfruitful conversation where she was very unprofessional and unkind in her manner of speaking. She made me feel like I had "no money" that's why I was trying to get a few trial lens from her. I was so upset by then that I did not want to continue the conversation and I told her that I would get my friend to speak to her on this. She was very accusatory by then and told me off that I was the one wearing the lens so why should my friend be the one calling her? I was quite traumatized by the end of the conversation that I did not want to have anything more to do with asking for a trial pair of lens. As I had good connections with a previous lady sales staff from spectacle hut bugis, I asked her if she could provide me the contacts of takashimaya manager in charge. She mentioned that the manager in charge named Murphy will get back to me on this but till date, he totally did not get back to me making me feel like they truly do not care for their customers well being. This is just a very poor experience that I had about spectacle hut. They are more concerned on sales and definitely the worst in terms of professionalism and empathetic customer service. They just lost me as a regular customer because I felt lousy and discriminated after this experience. Please be wary if you wish to purchase contacts lens etc.

My son and I had our specs done here 1-2 yrs ago. We bought 2 new pairs of specs and had 2 pairs of spectacles that we wanted to update the lenses. When we claim it, the staff said Spectacle Hut does not provide hard case being provided for our own specs and Did not even provide a hard case for my son’s Giorgio Armani!!!! Just to learn now after buying from Waterway Point that it is still available. Will never come back in Takashimaya’s outlet ever !!!!! And yes I agree with one of the review that the staff acts like we can’t afford to buy from the store. Mind you I bought 2 specs 1 shades and replaced 2 lenses!!!!

The staff who served me, were very friendly and examined my eyes more carefully than when I visited an ophthalmologist and the results were very comfortable to wear the glasses

Went into this shop to make a special spectacle with lower half for Presbyopia, cannot believe they did it wrong! It turned out the upper half for Presbyopia. It took another 10 days to get the correct lens. After wearing for two weeks, the decorations on the left corner of the spectacle dropped! I didn’t touch it! After wait for a few days, the decoration on the right corner dropped! I m totally speechless. Have to change to another frame! Never expect a shop looking high end , service is so poor.
